It works and it's strong! Heavy duty, but not big and bulky
Happy to have this heavy duty tape ! It makes repairs look neat and clean. Strong and waterproof, but not big bulky and messy looking! My car headlight cover cracked due to a minor crash. This tape did the trick! Provides a strong, protective, water-proof covering that stays in place. The adhesive is strong, but the sticky stuff can get a little messy when on a warm surface, like on the surface of a car, near the engine. A good, strong, clear, protective tape, indeed!!

Super Sticky to patch up cracks and splits
I wanted something to patch my blow up Kayak, the next time it gets a hole. This tape is thick and super durable and super sticky. My first repair was to an outdoor plastic storage box. It had developed a few cracks in the top from weather and abuse. The tape went on nicely, conformed to the curves of the top and it completely sealed the cracks. I know this because there is a slight dip in the top and rain water collects there and the tape does not let it seep through. I see no issues with edges creeping up and the container sits for hours in the sun each day.As for the Kayak, I have not actually done a repair yet as I don't have a current hole, but I know it will work great. I precut some smaller patches from the tape roll so that I can have them ready when deploying my Kayak. Great product. Premium quality.

Really great tape!
I used this to patch the liner of an above ground pool. While on vacation, the pool took a trip of its own by flinging itself over a barbed wire fence. It was too late (and too expensive) to buy a new liner so we patched it.There were a few large holes where the pool impaled itself on a t-post plus countless smaller holes. The tape did great on the bigger holes, but so-so on the smaller ones. It seemed that because the pin holes needed smaller pieces of tape, dirt/grit got caught on the edges and worked it's way in, which loosened the tape. While we were filling the pool we were still finding leaks. The tape worked great under water. You have to put a lot of pressure on the tape (I stood on it for about 5 minutes) and it will hold.Bottom line is the tape did work really well considering the job I had it do. I poured over the reviews before I bought it and took into consideration that a lot of people thought you just stuck it on and expected it to work like scotch tape. The only thing I wish is that instructions came in the package. It was a pain having to go to the website for instructions.

Strong
Kept knocking wasp nests from the soffits all summer. Noticed that they were leaving holes in the soffit. Didn't want to spend money on new soffits at this time so I caulked and patched. That didn't hold up. This last time, I caulked and patched and then covered with the white Gaffer tape and it's holding. The surface is too slippery for the wasps. The tape was much thicker than I expected. So far it's held through two weeks of heavy rain and wind. The only caution is that the adhesive material, 'glue', is extremely strong. It's necessary to cut the exact size needed then peel the backing paper while installing along the length. Sort of like using contact paper except that contact paper can be pulled apart. If the Gaffer tape clumps together, forget it. Strong adhesion is a good thing for endurance so it's not really a negative feature. Just a bit tricky to install. But, knowing this ahead of time should help.

Easy to Work with in Small Strips
So far, this is meeting my expectations in a great way. I used this for damaged rubber around windows on a 2002 Impala. After reading another persons review and the trouble they had with handling large pieces and the tape getting stuck everywhere, I cut across the 4 inch width and made it about 1 1/2 wide and added these strips along the top edge of the rubber and it smoothed everything out nicely. The body shop told me to find replaceable doors and install those for nicer rubber. That would cost a fortune! For now, I am fine with taping my car together cuz as far as the engine goes, this car runs like a dream! Let's see how the tape fares in wet and rainy weather. IAs for the tape itself, I can imagine it could have many practical uses and will come in handy. I am very happy with the purchase.

Good quality, but not good with extreme heat.
Very strong, thick, and sticky. We used it on a leak on our east-set pool, on the blow-up part. However, with the extreme heat, the sticky melted and then bubbled underneath from the air leak. I think it would work great on another surface that doesn’t heat up so much. I have several squares left and will definitely use them on other surfaces as needed.

Extremely adhesive
A+ adhesive performance, be very careful where you place it as it will not be easily peeled off. I was looking to patch holes that my cat scratching the drum of the new litter robot, I couldn’t find anything that would stick since the litter sits on top of where the patch needed to be. I had to replace the drum three times, but he kept scratching holes into the plastic, this tape did the trick and it’s not phased by the dust of the litter! It’s also a very thick clear material and he hasn’t been able to scratch holes into it so far…

Super strong.
This is really nice to work with. As far as I can tell, it's never coming off.I used it to tape over a couple of mending plates to add strength to a cracked skirt for a whirlpool bathtub. I'm very happy with the way it turned out. Solid as a rock.In my case the part had broken in two. If it hadn't, the tape alone (without the mending plates) would probably have been sufficient. It's wide and tough. You'll definitely want to get it positioned right the first time. :-)
