In a good way, you get what you pay for. I didn’t want an expensive machine or pods. I’m pleased on quality and how fast coffee brews. I haven’t yet tried not froth milk, so I can’t comment on how that works.

I now own three Shardor devices--a coffee maker (5 stars), a coffee bean grinder (5 stars), and now this little guy. While it is super easy to use (and, since buying it, I've used almost every night), I am extremely annoyed that there is NO auto shut-off for the heat. When I'm done fiddling with the coffee and the steamed milk, I'm busy making coffee, not reaching around to the side to make sure the knob is set to the right position (which has to be visually affirmed because there is no "click" sound). So many times now I've come back in the kitchen and find that the heat coil has been running for hours on an empty device. However, I absolutely have to say their customer support is VASTLY SUPERIOR to any other company that is selling wares on Amazon, and Shardor does their best to make things right for you. For that, five stars, and I will continue to buy Shardor's products.

I tried and I tried, with different types of grinds. If you use the grind the recommend then you are using the same grind for a drip coffee and you get the same flavor of a drift coffee. You use any other grind and it just doesn't matter. You do not get the nice steam ending that you should. And that is an expression of how it's supposed to sound. I have not tried using the steamer cuz usually these cheaper espressos do not steam well. I did not need it for that. I just wanted a good cup of coffee. Thought it was the water at one time. So I use bottled. It's been more than 30 days and I now I can't return it. What happened to the good old days where the name meant something. DeLonghi still seems to hold up to its name but I honestly don't know because I can't afford to buy one. And you can't trust the star system because 90% of the time your comment doesn't make it. I used to hate the people that only just left a star or five stars and no comment. But at least that comment made it to the page and told me it was one star or five stars.

We bought this machine thinking we'd be getting an actual espresso maker. The images show cups of espresso with a thick crema. This machine does not produce any crema whatsoever. The frothing wand works great, and the coffee comes out tasting fine. It just doesn't have the appearance or mouthfeel of actual espresso.Edit - customer service went above and beyond to make this right for us. This product is a great value if it suits your needs, just be aware of what it can and can't do.

I love it, it makes excellent coffee very quickly.

I lost a crucial part to this machine on accident. Reached out to the company and they made it better and then some! Love the espresso and functionality of the machine. The steamer was a few extra steps but works well.
