Surprisingly Accurate!
This is a great little camera. It is great for a few things, and not great at others, but for the price it is mindblowing.I’ve used all kinds of thermal imagers from $30,000 ones all the way down to the cheapest ones you can find. The closest to this one is the Seek Thermal one (now FLIR?), but the HK Micro one is, IMO, much better. It’s also cheaper, newer, and smaller.I checked the accuracy in our lab with our infrared calibrators. Wow! I’ve seen even the most expensive cameras give worse results. Mine was within 1 °C @ 300 °C. About the same at -10 °C.The picture quality is decent. Monotone seems to look the best.Resolution is OK for IR. Not amazing.Night capture is OK, but this thing isn’t very sensitive when there are really low levels of IR to pick up. I’d guess you’d need a larger sensor and lens. It picks up nearby hot objects like cars, trees, and buildings just fine. Anything in the night sky will be just noise.I have a heated toilet seat and this thing shows it clearly in a pitch black bathroom. It also picks up my reflected IR image from the shower tiles, which was neat. You can turn on/ hot/cold spot auto detection and measuring. You can choose from quite a few palettes. No iOS app, which is fine. I prefer Android and only use my iPhone for work and videos. This thing is tiny!It comes with a nice little case and an extension cable, which is handy. Unfortunately, the cable doesn’t really fit in the case with the camera. It does, but it doesn’t really, if you know what I mean.If you need one, get it! If you want one, get it! If you want one for capturing objects in the night sky in the IR spectrum… maybe save up a few grand and get a better one.

Good for electronics
HikMikro provided a free unit for review after I returned the original unit which had some issues. The review has been updated accordingly. This camera is ideal for electronics due to the manual focus ability and increased magnification possible over more usual thermal cameras like the Mini2. However, due to that it is less suitable for general purpose use. Attached picture is of a SOIC-8 IC. Note that you can see the die within due to the close view.** Good **Close focus possible, excellent for close inspection of components with no need for a Macro lens.Fits on phone with case.Provided accessories are of good quality.App mostly works well.** Awareness items **Greater magnification and a smaller field of view than usual. Good for electronics, less ideal to scan around with.Projects forward from phone, preventing setting phone down flat.Continually need to focus with the small focus wheel can be tiresome.** Bad **Tends to have a gradient across the frame which calibration doesn't address. Less pronounced with the replacement (~ 3 deg C vs 5 deg C with original unit).App sometimes has video signal break into static. *This was resolved with a replacement unit*

HIKMicro restored my view (no pun). Very happy. Good support.
EDIT: HIKMicro contacted me and did fix my issues. They have restored my faith as long as all stays the same. Also, their unit is a lot smaller then the others I used. So I am very happy they stepped up and made everything good. The macro 2PLUS is great for circuit board repair. I will 100% recommend the PLUS to my Electrician friends, Contractors and Building Engineers. I have worked as Building Engineer 24 years and EE Repair for 35+ years.

Works great
Shows me that I don't stand a chance of making my old house energy efficient 🤣 nice thermal camera to have for diagnostic purposes

Great resolution, tiny, 3rd rate software
Brilliant camera and image. Can't fault it. Had it for 1 week so far. S22 android. Software misbehaves as it sees fit but overall works acceptably. Maybe it'll take a picture or video, maybe it won't! Maybe it'll give a clean image, maybe it'll go all fuzzy. Maybe it'll stop self-calibrating when you tell it to, maybe it'll show the icon but just ignore you! Tends to settle down after a minute or so and then plays nicely. Clearly identifies deer etc at 100 yards+ in full darkness.

Great image quality
Great image quality and a high refresh rate. The software is nice, too. I really appreciate the option of manual span control which allows you to adjust the dynamic temperature range for better detail. The only potential downside to this unit is the narrow 25 degree field of view. If your goal is PCB repair or viewing things at a distance, this model's FOV is ideal. If you are interested in typical home repair type uses, the Mini2 with a wider 50 degree FOV would be a much better choice.

Works and I can focus with it.
I can finally do a proper leak check of my attic etc. Best part is the ability to focus. and its cheaper than the other one that can focus by about $80.
