Superb panel for gaming, don't miss out!
Pros: Unreal deep inky blacksAmazing color gamutHigh refresh rate for gamingHdr brightness is great @ 1000 nits peakGreat for media consumption like movies and TV showsPerfect resolution for gaming in 2025Cons: lack of built in speakersI understand this can be an expensive monitor to game with but honestly if you're on deciding to purchase one, just go for it. I would argue this monitor has been on of the few things to elevate my gaming experience. Sure you can buy a cheaper ips monitor that will get the job done but the difference is night and day with an OLED panel. Don't let the fear of burn in discourage you that was more of an issue about 5 years ago. I have owned this monitor for a couple of months now and it stills amazes me every time I use it.

Amazing monitor is a vast understatement.
If you're a gamer and you're looking for a monitor, don't look any further; from one gamer to another: buy this, you will not regret it. Don't gimp your high performance setup and expensive hardware with a 60Hz monitor. If you're running current top-end GPUs and pushing frame rates over 60 FPS, if your refresh rate doesn't match your frame rate, you're going to have issues. The biggest thing I'd like to push is the fact this monitor is not only built for gamers, it also looks amazing, do not in any way be dissuaded by reviews stating this monitor looks horrible, or has bad color. The capability for adding 3D and Nvidia G-Sync is also a great option to have. I've seen some reviews on various websites that state this monitor looks ''washed out'' and other such cons, but I've seen no such issues. Out of the box stock settings admittedly look bad; however these are just OEM default settings. A few minutes spent in the menu tweaking contrast, brightness, color correction etc., gets this monitor looking absolutely gorgeous. Some people recommend downloading ICC color profiles and jumping through hoops to ''try and make this look good.'' Bottom line: it isn't necessary. If you want to follow one of those guides, download a color profile and do all that, it's your choice. But honestly, in less than 5 minutes you can have this monitor adjusted to your liking and looking great on your own just by adjusting some menu options. I used a Envy 17-3D gaming laptop for years with HP's LCD-LED display, and this Asus blows it out of the water by a country mile.I can't understand why some people write bad reviews for an item without fully testing it out first, and at the very least adjusting menu options. I paid $250 for this, and for a monitor under 300 dollars, I couldn't be more impressed with the features, and the visual quality. This is a gaming monitor built with gamers in mind. The vast majority of bad reviews stating this is a monitor with bad visuals are from people wanting to compare a $250 TN panel meant for gaming with monitors not built for gaming and 3 times the price. This monitor boasts a 144Hz refresh, 1ms GTG lag, amazing contrast ratio, availability for G-Sync & 3D upgrades, Gameplus features built in and other gamer-centric features. Comparing this to IPS monitors with only 60 Hz refresh rates, 10+ms GTG, input lag and cost anywhere from $500 dollars to well over $1,000, is far from correct. On top of being an amazing gaming monitor that will show no ghosting, artifacting or screen tearing and built in features for gamers, for a TN panel monitor this looks amazing. In my opinion during routine everyday PC use, and for gaming, you'll see no noticeable difference in color and visual performance with this TN panel than you will higher priced lower performance IPS monitors.Finding a monitor that does gaming well, as well as have great visuals is a hard find, but this does it and it does it for a great price. The 24'' monitor is large enough that you get a great view, yet not so large you have to constantly move your head side to side to see everything, or have to sit far away from the monitor just to get it all in your field of view. It has a good solid base, and a bracket for cable management on the back of monitor. The monitor swivels, it tilts, it pivots, it has height adjustment and you can flip the monitor for either a page orientation of 16:9 widescreen or a portrait orientation. So no matter your setup or how you sit at your PC, this monitor can be set for maximum comfort and best viewing.** IMPORTANT: First, be sure your GPU has a DisplayPort I/O so you are able to use a DP cable to connect this to your GPU if you want the full range of performance this monitor offers. *DO NOT USE* HDMI or DVI with this monitor! If you use HDMI or DVI with this screen, you will not be getting or seeing the performance you paid for. Neither HDMI nor DIV/DVI-D are capable of full HD at more than 60 FPS (60Hz). The majority of the reason for going with this monitor is the superior 144Hz refresh, 1ms GTG, and no discernible input lag. Thus allowing high FPS with no graphical issues. If you want to be able to use your monitor at 144Hz, if you want to be able to run 100+ FPS and not suffer blurring, ghosting, artifacting, or screen tearing, and you want the best viewing experience and performance, DisplayPort MUST be used. This monitor only comes packaged with a DVI-D cable and audio cable, and does not come packaged with a DisplayPort cable; so be sure to pick up a VESA certified DisplayPort along with this monitor.

OLED is worth it!
First and foremost! (If you plan to use a monitor mount) I wish I knew I needed a VESA mounting adapter for this monitor before I got it.The actual review of the monitor: It’s a really good monitor, it looks great, it has a lot of smart features, it synced up well with AMD Software, it’s vibrant and colorful yet dark when you need it to be, the monitor weight is relatively light but that stand it comes with is hefty that thing is sturdy and will NOT tip over! It also has a built in OLED anti burn timer/mechanism which is really cool for protecting your investment!

Glossy vs Matte, what I learned
The media could not be loaded. Using a glossy screen makes computing enjoyable again. The vibrant colors and sharp details of the user interface truly pop, making everything from daily tasks to gaming feel more immersive. Gaming on this monitor is an exceptional experience—it's as if you're stepping inside the game world. The level of clarity and vividness it offers is truly a game-changer.In my attached video review, I discuss how matte screens diffuse light across the surface, which I believe causes more eye fatigue compared to the crisp clarity of a glossy screen. While matte screens create a hazy effect, glossy screens may reflect light sources, but the reflections are only noticeable when directly aligned with the light. Most of the time, the reflections fade into the background when you're focused on the screen. The glossy finish provides such exceptional clarity that it easily outweighs any minor inconvenience from reflections. Of course, this is just my personal experience—I'm not an eye doctor or expert—but I think the benefits are undeniable. This monitor is an excellent choice, though it’s worth noting that exciting new technologies are on the horizon. Innovations like Nvidia Pulsar and tandem OLED displays (as seen on the iPad Pro) are expected in the next few years. Alternatively, Mini-LED monitors with a glossy finish will be arriving sooner, offering similar clarity with less risk of burn-in compared to OLED.Correction from my video: I mentioned that it's best to cap your frame rate to a factor of the monitor's refresh rate (e.g., 60, 80, or 120). However, this isn't necessary with FreeSync Premium Pro, which this monitor supports! Unlike regular V-Sync, which can cause input lag and stuttering when frame rates drop below the monitor's refresh rate, FreeSync Premium Pro is an advanced type of adaptive sync that dynamically adjusts the monitor's refresh rate to match the GPU's frame rate in real time, with added support for HDR content. In other words, just let your GPU run without a cap, and the monitor handles the smooth playback automatically.Lastly, in my video review, I mentioned that the little ROG logo on the lower bezel couldn't be turned off. I later discovered that this can be disabled via the 'POWER INDICATOR' setting—problem solved!Overall, the 32UCDM is a fantastic monitor that’s hard to beat for both work and play. I know the price tag is high but believe me, it will not matter when you experience this monitor. The money spent won't matter to you. Highly recommended! Good luck, and enjoy the immersive experience.___ Update____This monitor continues to impress me—it’s the best I’ve ever owned! Since my initial review, I’ve discovered even more reasons to love it. Thanks to its higher pixel density (140 PPI), I’ve realized that I don’t need to game at 4K native resolution. Playing games at 1440p on this QD 4K panel offers a comparable experience to gaming on a non-QD 4K display, freeing up significant GPU power. This extra performance headroom allows me to crank up in-game settings and focus on enhancing the overall visual quality without needing to push for a higher resolution. With my 7900 GRE, I am now able to game at 1440p with 60 FPS on the most graphically demanding titles with Ray Tracing various settings Enabled!Additionally, playing at 1440p instead of 4k also lets me use higher texture settings, as the reduced resolution demand saves processing power. This results in stunning visual fidelity without requiring the brute force of running games at native 4K resolution. This monitor is saving me from the expense of buying a top-tier GPU. Instead, I’m planning to invest in a GPU optimized for the best 1440p settings and Ray Tracing capable hardware rather than overpaying for one that pushes 4K at near-maximum settings.I’m absolutely in love with this monitor, and it has reshaped the way I think about gaming and display technology. Highly recommended!
