Does this fit on a carry-on suitcase?

Yes, worked really well on our carry on for our almost 2 year old. I think an older child on a carry on would be a little difficult to move though.

Can this be used with the carry on luggage’s that just have the single bar pull up handle?

I have a tall 3 yr old weighing 29 lb...would it be suitable?

Yes. Our child was 3 years old and about the same weight when he first used it. It is a wonderful invention.

Would this work for an older child (5) but who is under 50lbs?

We used this for our 3.5 year old and our 6 year old (both under 50lbs). It worked perfectly for our 3.5 year old (and was extremely helpful in the airports), but our 6 year old was too heavy and the wheels on our carry on suitcase bent. The chair itself help up fine - it was more an issue that he was too heavy for the suitcase wheels. If you do use this I would recommend a bag with sturdy, durable wheels. The bags we used where the kind with four wheels that rotate 360 degrees and are not as strong as a bag with just two wheels that are more like rollerblade wheels. I do highly recommend this product for children under 5 (and age 5 as long as the wheels on your luggage is strong enough to hold their body weight).
