Lauren Ralph Lauren Women's Martina Wide Calf Riding Boot

Love these boots! I have ticked 'fit as expected' because they fit as I expected they would when I ordered them. However after placing my order I found YouTube clip where Yossi is holding the Martina boot up to the camera making it appear about twice as large as her head. When she models the boots they look even larger. Is she actually a size 6 but she's been given a size 12 boot to review... I have since asked myself, because she really succeeds in making the Martina boot appear extra wide calf. I thought I would have to return them. Because I frequently try boots in the store that are too tight to zip up, I have always considered myself to have wide calves - they are a little under 14.5". I was dreading the arrival of these (apparently) 18" boots that were going to stick out from the middle of my kneecap by 4" - the video also seemed to show the boots to be super tall. I am 5.2". The boot's circumference in size 6B is 15". They are perfect. They are also exactly the right height. Daily temperatures are around 100° here in Western Australia right now (March) and I can't wait for some 'chilly' 65° days so that I can wear these soft very comfortable boots. Before the boots arrived I was also a little apprehensive that I'd ordered a big enough size. I sometimes take a 6.5 shoe and frequently order a wider width - but the 6 fits perfectly. They do not need to be large enough to wear big thick socks - something I would only do if travelling overseas. The boots arrived meticulously packaged and in perfect condition.

Pretty nice boots. The leather is very comfortable without breaking in but the soles are hardly supportive at all. The laces allow for some expansion however the tongue is permanently fixed to one side of the boot and is not very wide.

I have a VERY wide and muscular calf and I can't get pretty boots. But these fit with room to spare and are sturdy as well as feminine. They may be a little bit long ... but I can wear a sock with them and feel great.

I really do like these boots. The leather is good quality and smells like a new car. They are soft and pliable. I've never had tall boots before, but these look and feel good when I wear them. Slightly narrow, but I expected that. I usually wear a wider shoe. I took the chance because I know I can wear some things a little narrower, and I can wear these for several hours comfortably. The arch is good and they seem to be well made. The heel is just right for me. So glad I made this purchase.

Fit wonderfully! I have a high arch so I'm going to buy an insert but it's wide enough to accommodate any insert. Fit my calves perfectly! I can even fit it around stretch skinny jeans but not baggy around my bare calf.

I haven't worn them yet so I cannot answer your questions... They fit perfectly and I am very grateful for that since my calves are so big, normally tall boots do not fit me

I wear a 8.5 size with an orthotic insole and have a medium size calf,14.5", which is large for some boots. The boots have a very large calf, 2 inches larger that my leg, which I could not adjust to fit with the lacing. If you needed to make them larger in the calf they would adjust but not smaller. The ankle is also large and cannot be adjusted smaller. They are nice leather and I have been looking for this lace up feminine style but they do not fit my legs. I will have to return them.

I like this lace up design because you don't actually have to lace it up....it's so convenient! It truly is a wide calf also.
