I'm not very good at visualizing from a number (6 inches in this case) what size a cake pan is going to be when I am holding it in your hand. It turns out 6 inches across is a very small round cake pan. Fortunately, these cake pans are also extra deep -- deeper than any cake pan I have in my cupboard -- so you can still get a good quantity of batter into each of these three cake pans. (You can get about as much batter into this deep 6-inch pan as you can get into a standard 8-inch round cake pan.)Just one extra note about the size of these pans: I measured the distance from the inside wall on one side of the pan to the other inside wall, and this interior measurement is actually 5-7/8 inches, so these pans are actually just under 6 inches in width.These cake pans are of medium weight and feel solid and sturdy in your hand. They bake cakes evenly. The pans are dark colored, and dark colored pans tend to bake a bit hot and brown the bottoms of cakes faster and darker than light colored (e.g., aluminum) pans, so I find if I reduce the baking temperature by 10-20 degrees I get better baking results in these pans.For people who use them, this set of pans comes with pre-measured parchment paper rounds with lifting handles. I have never seen the need for parchment, and I always get my baked goods out of pans easily without parchment, but for those who use parchment, this is an added bonus.All in all, be sure you really want such small pans before ordering this set. If small pans are what you really want, then these pans are of good quality and bake very well.

I love these cake pans! If you don't have smaller cake pans you can always use these and then slice the layer across the middle to turn it into two separate layers of cake. I have watched them do this on cooking shows before but never had the right size pan to be able to try it myself. These are perfect for that! This extra depth also means the pans are more versatile and can be used for cooking other things besides cakes. Although I haven't done that yet. The parchment sheets are a nice touch and just makes baking a cake easier.I believe these to be a good quality product and worth the cost. I recommend these cake pans.

We just threw out our scratched-up 9 inch cake pan recently. That was my daughter's go-to cake pan for either single cakes or 2-tiered cakes. She was iffy about these 2 10-inch cake pans, thinking they may be too big. But when she 1st saw them & then used them to make a 2-tiered angel cake with buttercream frosting, she was quite happy. She's impressed by the overall quality of these 2 pans. Feels & looks sturdy and just well-crafted. Smooth and no dings. These are non-stick and they release the cakes easily enough. Maybe even easier than her silicone cake pans. She didn't have to tweak her recipes to accommodate this 10-inch pan for her usual 9-inch pan recipes. These pans just end up yielding flatter yet wider cakes. My large family's not complaining at all. It's actually easier to divide this wider cake among all of us than the taller but narrower 9-inch cakes. Just make sure to not use any harsh sponges or metallic utensil on these pans.Highly recommended.

These are your basic cake pans, but the smaller size is really cute and perfect for when you don't need a huge cake. It was a nice that 100 sheets of parchment paper were included that fit the pans perfectly - always a bonus! Otherwise, they're pretty straightforward; they heat evenly, and my first test with a basic sponge cake turned out great.

Great set of cake pans and I like that they come with liners to help get the cake out. These are well made, not easily bent out of shape at all. The only thing I'm not sure about is the dark colour. Cakes tend to bake unevenly in dark pans, like the outside getting crispy while the interior is still soft. I haven't had anything burn while using these, but did use a lower temp than recommended to account for the dark colour.
