***Updated Feb 2/28/25***These reels have been sitting outside on my patio for like 3 months (not kidding lol) getting rain, wind and all sort of weather! Even the braided fishing line i have on them have faded a bit! Today i went fishing after not being able to for a good while, and these reels still performed as if they were taken out of their box for the first time! I always give them a good freshwater rinse at the fishing spot and then at home. But as far as quality goes and everything these rods have been thru outside, definitely buying them again when available!Updated: We now own 5 of these reels, my dad has 2 (6000) and I have 3 (2x6000 and 1x5000). Note, there is no difference between the 5000 and 6000 models, or any that i can see, same size and all except for line capacity even thou the spools look identical. Only time can tell how good they all will perform and last but so far based on the first 2 we already had and used, i have good hopes!Bought one of these to pair it up with my Ugly Stik Bigwater 7 ft MH rod for bridge fishing down in the FL Keys and as soon as i got it and my dad saw it, he wanted one so i bought another for him as a gift. Few days later and finally some good weather + high tide we hit the keys and man these reels took a beating! Well the fish did! We were catching Jack Crevalle left and right and those fish can put up a good fight but this reel was just fighting back easily! The one thing i mainly love about this reel is how is almost full metal especially the handle. Only thing i wish was that it had more color options but this is mostly a cosmetic thing since i like matching rod and reel colors, silly i know. Definitely keeping this reel in mind for future purchase again!

I put this reel on an 11ft Ugly Stick Big Water and use it for white sturgeon fishing. I was nervous about the reel because I went with a smaller reel than most of my fishing buddies do. I bought the 6000 series, and I have to admit, the first fish I hooked into the nervousness went away. I worked the fish for about 25-30 minutes and finally landed the 6 foot 4 inch river monster! The reel performed flawlessly, and the drag system was very impressive. A fish this size definitely will test the reels capability, and this one passed with impressive performance. My only complaint comes with the drag system of the spare spool. Piscifun did not create the two spools equally when it comes to the drag. The machined spool has a nice carbon disc drag system, but the graphite spool has a felt washer system drag; the felt drag fails under these pressures. I did manage to catch a 7'3" fish, but I had to assist the drag and push the spool to avoid it constantly sticking. With that said, I think I'm going to buy another one to have two spools with the better drag system. Currently Piscifun does not have spare drag parts for order, so another reel is only option that I can find.

Bought 2 to use for live shiner fishing on Florida trip. Bait runners work super and these were a great price.1 works great, smoothly reels, casts great. The other broke 1st use, but Piscifun refunded me right away as a replacement of this reel was not available at the time. Piscifun customer service is A++

I just received the Piscifun Carnivore baitfeeder in the 6000 size. I will be using this reel to target large catfish and sturgeon primarily and I can’t wait to get to try it out. I especially like that it included two bobbins for line so I can have one set with monofilament in the 20-30lb range and also another with 60lb braid. I own several other baitfeeder spinning reels and I believe the line clicker on this one is a bit louder than other comparable models. With greater than 26lbs of drag this reel should definitely have the power necessary to stop a good run from a large fish. When spooling the reel up with line the components all looked to be of high quality and the reel spins nice and freely. The drag and bait feeders were both smooth and worked as they were expected to. I will admit I am partial to the color and thought the black/red combo is a sleek looking design. I live in the northern part of the country so it will be a few months before I get to really test this reel out to its fullest. I will revise this review if I notice anything different but the reel passed every test I could give it in the shop.

Best quality reel at a fraction of the price of a comparable Shimano or Okuma. Thanks so much for an Excellent Product at an Affordable Price! Will buy a larger One for long offshore bait drops using my Drone Fishing.

Well built and solid I used to own a Shimano Bait Runner in this feels just as good as a Shimano I haven't had a chance to use it but it seems to be really balanced I've got it on an ugly stick tiger. With 30 lb test. I will let you know how she does but it seems okay I tested it outside with the weight.

Smooth, sharp looking, and comes with extra spool for shaping between braid and filament line. Only reason for not giving it 5 stars, the reel has 2 drag adjustments, one on top of the spool, and one at the base of the reel, did not seem like the rear adjuster did anything. Maybe I'm an idiot. First reel with 2 drag adjusters. Other than that amazing reel for the money.
