Hypafix Transparent Film Dressing Roll - Waterproof (4" X 2 1/4 yd roll) # 72378-03

This product works great! I use it for the sensor part of my 670G Medtronic Minimed insulin pump. You can cut it to the size you need. At first I was only going to use it for the pool or ocean, but realized that it holds my sensor firmly against my body better, doesn't peel off or irritate my skin, and helps me forget I'm wearing a sensor at all. I've stopped using the adhesive that comes with the sensors as well as quit using the other tapes because they peeled after only a couple of days and both irritated my skin and caused itchy, red rashes on my skin, which took me a couple of days to heal from. This product solved my sensitive skin/rash issues, is waterproof and works great for the shower, pool and ocean, and has simplified my life as a pump and sensor wearer. Thanks to my RN/CDE for turning me on to this product!

I was initially very confused - turns out there are TWO layers of clear film, but only the super-thin stretchy one is stays on as the actual bandage.1) Peel off white paper backing2) Stick clear, firm acetate-like surface onto your body and press into place3) Grasp red-lined edge of firm "acetate" and pull away from body to peel off all this clear, thicker firm film.4) Peeling reveals the super-thin, clear, stretchy "skin like" bandage that stays left behind on your skin.I placed a colored piece of paper napkin under everything so I could see discoloration immediately if even a drop of pool water got under the bandage. It stayed completely waterproof.

I have been taking care of an elderly family member for years and have been going back and forth between Tegaderm Rolls and Opsite Flexifix. Both products lacked in breathability causing moisture to create a slipperiness that would cause the corners to fold up leading to extra dressing changes. This product is absolutely amazing and I highly recommend to anyone that faces these problems.

This comes in a large roll so you can cut what size you need. Its a little tricky at first figuring out how to apply this with the peel off backing as there are no instructions, but I figured it out. This bandage tape works well and kept my wound dry.

There is no adhesive quality to this tape, we are sending it back. It does not stick at all to the skin, (which we washed with soap and water, dried, and even wiped with alcohol pads to remove skin oil).

Great products! It sticks to the skin beautifully maintaining excellent wound coverage, even on a hard-to-cover area such as my elbow! It is nearly impossible to find a bandage that is able to maintain it's integrity against the scrutiny of my being bedridden. If it can stand up to my demands it can definitely handle all others!

Easy to use, worked perfectly to protect new sutures for a dip in the pool...easy on, easy off. Felt like a second skin. Would highly recommend.

This product is a bit awkward to use; peeling one side of the backing off, placing it, then removing the remaining backing. Probably not the best for long incisions
