Body-Solid Tools Vinyl Dumbbell for Aerobic Training & Physical Therapy, Hand Weights for Women, Hex End Dumbbells

I ordered 4 sets of Body Solid vinyl dumbbells from Sam's Club online and their prices are unbelievable! For example, one 5-pound weight is selling for $5.58, which is 50% less than what Amazon is selling them for. The only bad thing about buying online from Sam's Club is that they charge state tax and shipping & handling. However, it was still cheaper to purchase the dumbbells from Sam's Club than Amazon, even with paying the extra money for tax and shipping. Apparently, Sam's Club gets the weights directly from the manufacturer. I was very pleased with their packaging job. They actually double-boxed the weights and included a lot of packing material. I made the mistake of ordering a set of Body Solid dumbbells from Amazon and they came all beat up. They hardly put in any packing material to cushion the weights.If you're a member of Sam's Club, go to their online website and set up an account with your membership number. I ordered a lot of different neoprene dumbbells before settling on a brand (Valeo, Cap Barbell sold at Walmart, Savasa, Embark brand sold at Target). I have been the most impressed with the quality of the Body Solid vinyl dumbbells. I was hesitant about purchasing vinyl because I was afraid of chipping, but these things are so heavy duty that they seem impervious to almost anything. They're also much easier to clean with anti-bacterial wipes than neoprene. I also like that the colors match each other there isn't a discrepancy between the shades (i.e., the two blue dumbbells match each other). Another point about these dumbbells is that the handles are not too thick, even as the dumbbells get heavier in weight. For example, the handles of the 12 lb. dumbbells aren't so bulky that they're more difficult to hold compared to a lighter set of dumbbells. Best of all, there's no funky odors! I like that I can use the weights and my hands don't smell funny afterwards.I'm going back to order more pairs from Sam's Club. A word of caution -- just like Amazon, they sell the dumbbells individually, so make sure to put 2 of them in your cart. Sam's Club shipped them via FedEx (ground is the cheapest) and I still received them in about 4 days. Enjoy!

These are great for daily arm workouts, very lightweight, i like that they are 4 lbs & i use them while i'm on exercise bike or to do an 8-10min exercise where i don't let my arms down for the full 8-10min.To use a heavier weight for that type of exercise would be brutal. My arms a very toned now which i prefer to adding bulk. I don't like using heavy weights since I'm just wanting to tone the arms.I follow a few Youtube videos & they are great, they recommend 2 lb but with the 4 lb ones I can do just one workout instead of repeating.

After using similar weights in physical therapy for my shoulders, I bought a set of these--pairs of 1, 2, 3 and 4 lb weights. They are comfortable to grip and it is nice to select the appropriate weight for the exercise. They have stood up to years of use, although I am using them less often now. I also have a set of neoprene dumbbells, 1-3 lbs, and slightly prefer the grip of the neoprene, although the vinyl is quite comfortable.One of 3 lb weights arrived with a defect on the handle, a small bump that I felt while gripping. Amazon's customer service was great and allowed me to exchange it. The new one arrived with a similar defect. Minus one star for inconsistent quality, but otherwise a good purchase.

I made the mistake of not realizing this was not a set but only one dumbbell. I was showing my order as delivered with another item from this site but I guess they forgot to pack the dumbbell or it fell out of the box somehow because I didn't receive it. I contacted Amazon and they were helpful and replaced it. When it came in, I realized it was only one dumbbell and not a set so I had to order another one. I like them overall and the color is pretty but I would have probably been much better off just making a trip to a local sports store. :)

You get only 1 dumbbell, not 2 - the price $25 per one 7-pound dumbbell can be very misleading. It's also super expensive! I got it because there was a promotion and the product was worth getting. Otherwise, I am sure you can get cheaper items! The product itself is of a good quality, not slippery, sturdy, easy to clean and fun color! I like to workout using these dumbbells.

There's not really much I can add beyond the product description: it's a nice vinyl-coated dumbbell for a reasonable price (at the time I purchased them). The one possible negative is the handhold; I have medium-sized hand for a guy and while it's not uncomfortable, it is snug. If you have really large hands this might be a problem. I have some 10-pound chrome dumbbells by another company and the handhold on them is about an 1" longer. Still, this is a nice dumbbell for the price.

I chose this dumbbell because it was the weight I wanted and it was vinyl. What I didn't realize was that I was only ordering ONE dumbbell, not one SET. It was an oversight, or it was not listed. I'm not sure. I haven't used it because it is pointless at this point. I'm now going to order the second one. The product itself is good, I just wish the description put in big bold letters that you only get one for $13+.

These are totally fine as one pound weights, however, realize how little one pound is. I was going for a beginner workout, but this was a joke. One pound is VERY light. My 5 year old godson says they are good weights for his two year old nephew....go figure! These would be great for a kid who is looking to mimic their parents' workout routine.
