Batman: Arkham Knight Collector's Edition Hardcover – Special Edition, 23 Jun. 2015

I normally only purchase guides for games I really like. There are a number of ways to get through tricky parts in video games now, especially with the huge number of Youtube play throughs. As a result, my personal thoughts are that game guides are more for collecting, artwork and reference. As a Batman fan, I went for the collectors edition of the guide, in no short part as it is hard backed, unlike the standard edition.This is a fair guide. It is written clearly and is easy to follow. It reassuringly contains no spoilers, which is a huge positive considering the amount of plot twists in Arkham Knight. The paper quality is also good, and an e-guide is also included. I particularly liked the 4 lithographs, which are essentially big (almost A4 size) postcards of Batman, Arkham Knight, The Bat Mobile and Scarecrow. I feel that these capture the game aptly.All-in-all, a nice collector's edition which I can highly recommend to fans of the Arkham series. 5/5

This is a collectors edition of the strategy guide for the video game 'Arkham Knight'. It's in hardback, and comes with 4 large postcards as a bonus (of Batman, the Arkham Knight, Scarecrow, and the Batmobile).As a strategy guide, it's detailed and thorough. If you're a player who might need a little assistance or guidance in knowing how to proceed with the game, this is a good place to pick up hints and tips. (Of course, you could look online - but often that spoils what's going to happen). There are in-depth descriptions of the various characters, their weapons, and the world they occupy.But it's as a book full of glorious images - taken from the game - that this collectors edition stands out. It's brimming with glossy images of Batman, his colleagues and his foes, as well as of Gotham City. As a fan of the game series, I simply enjoyed browsing the book.I paid under £14 (new, from Amazon) - so please look around, as some sellers over-price this book.

a great guide for this huge batman game. it covers everything you can do and all the extra thingshidden throughout the game. the bonus art section provides insight into what went before and fleshes out some of the story

I got this at a great price, i love the art work that came with the book, the book looks great too...The game itself its quite straightforward and i didnt use the guide and awful lot but helped when i was doing side missions, it helped me to locate things i spent half hour searching a city for.You don't need the guide to complete the game, i would only recommend at a good price as it is minimal help.

This book is fantastic. Again bought for a massive batman fan, the artwork is fantastic and it is excellent quality.

Great quality loved the 4 lithographs similar to to previous hardback editions, comes with e guide edition a very handy addition as part of the package. Overall very happy with this purchase.

Very handy for game

I personally bought this guide to help me out with the riddler trophies and sadly these are one of the most bare bones sections of the guide, there's a map with locations but no solutions and unclear snapshots. However I can't say the guide is all bad, it helps out with the locations of firefighters, watchtowers etc... So it's good if you want it for that. The main story guide just seems to tell you what you already know with some extra hints of locations with a very brief stratergy you can use. The lithographs were a nice touch as was the free digital version but even though I have now got 100% I don't feel this guide was the key helper here, I found most help with YouTube leaving this to stay on the shelf. Overall if you're like me and want it for the riddler you should avoid, however if you're looking for some guidance in terms of side quests this does offer some help (but you could always serch online for free)
