Q: I cannot get the seat ("pallet") to fit over the cylinder. Is the black cap on the cylinder supposed to come off first?

Return the chair. I've had it now for a little over a month and the seat itself it sinking. I din't mind the puckering of the material on the arm swoop, but the seat is completely lopsided now and the material is hanging over the grommets that line the seat on one side. If the chair is going to be used as a decor piece that will be rarely sat it, that would be a better setting for this chair. I bought it for my office and I'll probably have to get a new chair within the next couple of months, as the seat will be gone?

That customer purchased the chair when it was available in an Olive Green with gold hardware. The current chair is the one pictured with silver hardware in a more forest-green shade. They have changed the color range a couple of times.

No, this seat wasn't meant to be sat in full time. I have had it for a little over a month and the seat itself is deflated and disappearing. The material is hanging over the grommets at the front of the seat. It's more for show.

It's a darker pink, like a dusty rose. More grayish than peachy.
