My Favorite Work Jacket – CQR Earns My Loyalty!
As a disabled security professional on a budget, I’m thrilled with CQR’s Men’s Softshell Jacket—it’s hands-down my favorite work jacket! Having already fallen in love with CQR’s tactical pants and shorts for their durability and smart design, this jacket solidifies my loyalty to the brand. It’s perfect for my active security shifts, keeping me comfortable down to about 32°F without feeling bulky. The softshell fabric is windproof and water-resistant, holding up flawlessly in tough weather, while the breathable design prevents overheating during movement. The multiple pockets are a lifesaver for organizing my gear, and the flexible fit accommodates my mobility needs perfectly. The craftsmanship is top-notch, with no loose threads or wear after weeks of daily use. CQR consistently delivers high-quality, functional gear that fits my work and budget, and this jacket is proof. I’m a CQR fan for life—highly recommend this jacket to anyone needing reliable outerwear for work or beyond!

Will work as a light jacket without over heating you.
Took longer than I expect to arrive but I do like this jacket. 5'9" 180lbs. Size was find as long as I don't wear anything to thick or heavy underneath. I do wish more sizes were available for the different colors.

Not quite the size you expected!
Fits a little smaller than the size says. 2XL is more like XL. I always get my jackets 2XL, so I can add layers under my jacket on colder days, but this one is not a 2XL so that I can add layers. If you order one, to add like a hoody or vest before the jacket, get a 3XL. Otherwise, I like the jacket & the utility of the jacket. Very comfortable. Do not know anything about the rain repellent part of the jacket, as I have not been in a rainstorm as of yet.

Definitely Recommend!
Very high quality Jacket. The Multicam style is unique and effective. Dirty Civilian reviewed CQR, and I agree- it's great for the price-point. Al

Good Jacket For Work
Good quality I bought this to replace my walmart swisstech jacket I've had for 5 years and this should hold up even better. The liner is nice and will keep you warm, but I prefer the swisstech dense fleece. No internal pocket unfortunately, but I did buy the low vis version. I like the velcro straps but I think elastic drawstring would last longer and be much more low vis compared to the thick rubber wrist straps. I kind of regret not getting the hood version, but they tend to interfere with my cap anyway. Very light weight and warm and a bit stiff, but I like that more than the thin silky jacket material. Could use armpit zips, but this jacket isn't that type of outdoors jacket. I bought the large to layer with a medium new balance fleece and it fits well. I have a 41 inch chest, stand at 5'9" and weigh 165 consistently for refrence. I work outside 25°f to 50°f usually 19 mph wind for around 8 hours 20 mins amd this works well.

Decent jacket, decent Multicam knockoff
A jacket like this should be rated in two categories: the jacket itself, and the camo pattern. The jacket is a decent soft-shell. I have a comparably-priced Columbia Ascender soft-shell, which is more insulated and less noisy (less "swishy" when you move your arms). To compensate, the CQR runs a little larger which would allow you to wear more insulating layers underneath it. It has many more pockets, which the promotional images enumerate. Like most tactical soft-shells, the CQR has zippered mesh vents under the arms. However, each zippered pocket acts as an additional vent when open, as the pouch of the pocket is also a soft mesh. The traditional belly pockets zip up to open, which is odd, but not a problem. Stitching seems fine, as do the zippers. If these prove to be weak points, I'll update my review, but first impressions are good. It's comparable to other similar products on Amazon which are a bit cheaper, but the price difference is more than made up for by the quality of the camo pattern. The camo is a decent Multicam knockoff. Attached is a picture of genuine issue OCP on the left, and CQR "Operator Print Utility Camo" on the right. The CQR pallet is distinguishable in that it's darker, more brown, and higher-contrast. It's not a perfect replication, but it's functional. With distance and occlusion, the differences will become much less distinguishable. Other products on Amazon which feature unlicensed replicas of Multicam on a soft-shell reliably suffer from the same problem: tans which appear quite pink. The hue and saturation of their product images are modified to hide this. The CQR does not have this problem.Overall, it's an extremely high-value option. You can find a better soft-shell featuring genuine, licensed Multicam in the Beyond Clothing A-series of jackets, but these start at three times the price. For the money, I don't think you can beat the CQR.

Loved at first but zippers poof
This was my favorite jacket and still use it today. The only reason for lacking stars is the zipper blew out after only a few months. Still haven't fixed it but it works well for a windblock and water resistant outer shell. Fits well and it has zipper vents to help breath
