BASENOR 2023 2022 2021 Tesla Model 3 Sunshade Front & Rear Glass Roof Sun Shades Heat Cover Top Window Sun Protection for Model 3 Interior Accessories (Not Fit 2024 Model 3)

My overheat protection has been kicking in all week with the inside of the car reaching over 40° whilst parked in the sun. So after buying a terribly cheap windscreen shade (which didn’t help at all) I decided the glass roof might need insulating.It has just arrived and I went and fitted it straight away in my late 2020 Model 3. Took 5 minutes.Doesn’t fit 100% but that doesn’t stop it from staying in place - in fact it kind of helps. The clips wouldn’t fit in certain places but that’s because it was jammed right against the headliner.This is the second Basenor accessory I’ve bought for my Tesla and so far I’m impressed for the price point and the fact that Amazon stock them (saves me waiting weeks to get bits from China)Hopefully they help with the heat inside the cabin during this early May heatwave that we seem to be having.

Once fitted I have left it in place. Now I have just ordered the front windscreen shade.I did have a small concern but BASENOR resolved it - thank you

The media could not be loaded. Better than the old thin sunshades. I bought some last year that looked like fishnets stretched Omer wire, for a lot more money.These fit perfectly. The wire frame is an extremely good fit. The cloth is thicker reducing the heat on my head drastically. The set comes with additional non see through liners (attached on the corners with thick elastic) the liner stops even more heat. The grandkids loose looking out the glass roof, but I get to keep my scalp. Parked in very bright sunshine, the car stayed under 30 degrees C that’s over 10 degrees cooler than before. It’s still hot, but easy for the aircon to cope with. The only very minor observation, is the liner material “crackles” in the wind. If you drive over 40 with the windows down

I bought this kit to use on my Model 3 during summer holiday as I was planning to visit very hot countries during this period. It definitely keeps the internal temperature around 10C less on a sunny day which is a significant impact but it doesn't fit 100% properly to the car. There are gaps between the protector and the car body and it doesn't feel 100% secure while driving but overall it worked as expected.

Edit - it has been confirmed that these don't fit the MiC Model 3s and there is now another option for this on the product page.As per gopistry.blogspot review and photo, this doesn't fit.I have a 2021 Made in China Model 3 which this apparently fits. Even trying to mount with the clips, it is far too short to fit the front glass panel.Yet another item to be sent back that doesn't work as described or advertised.
