Q: What type of screws do I need? I have to replace my hardware mounting kit and the seller wont send a new one. Are the anchors necessary?

It’s pretty light so you could use drywall screws. I have nine mounted without the anchors and it holds just fine.

Q: Is the depth truly 1.3" or is that with the tray installed? If not, what is the depth?

The depth of the board is 0.5" and the tray is 1.3" wide

Q: Does it move any when you are working or writing on the board? Long screws? I have 2 young kids, 7&3, that it will have to withstand.

this one has to be fastened by all four corners. If that is done it won't move.

Q: Can I hang this with the cork side to the right and the white board to the left or can It only be mounted as shown in the photos?

Yes. For sure. The tray can go on bottom or side and stays. It's perfect. I have dry erase on top and cork on bottom currently. That's why I bought it.
