17" Gateway FPD1730 720p LCD Monitor (Black)

I ordered this monitor to replace a dead one that my daughter uses for online school and at first I could not get it working right, it would work during the Bios Screen and when Windows started it would go into power down mode and go black, but all I had to do to fix this is just update the video card software and it works like a charm!! She is using a system running Vista 32bit and It would not load or install the driver! This is not a plug and play monitor! very frustrating at first! Decent monitor though! oh and its square not wide which is good for schooling! JUST UPDATE YOUR VIDEO CARD SOFTWARE FIRST!!!!

When it came, i was like AWESOME!! Hooked it up, computer sees it just fine. 1 little annoying detail theres a red scratch mark on the left corner of the screen it only appears during screen saver mode. it also had what looked like red paint on the side casing as well.I give you 4 stars. im still using it till this day, thinking about upgrading sometime to something bigger

Gateway makes a nice monitor and this is no exception. I have two 17 inch FPD1730's on computers running my sign cutters. Excellent color and simple controls. My only complaint is the cord is too long, I would have liked a FM jack in the back so different length cords could be used. Of course that is most of our problems with computer setups - too many long cords.

Product was delivered promptly. Needs a little cord jiggling to get the connection, but I paid a fraction of new and once it's on, it's on. Great deal for a nice monitor.

The product was exactly what i was looking for.

I originally ordered this monitor to replace the one I use at work, and so far I'm loving it. I'm actually using the monitor as a second screen right now, and everything looks better than my primary screen.

I now have a different one for my computer but this one was great to me when I had it. Wasn't wide enough though.
