This book contains Notes from Underground and a great selection of Dostoyevsky's short stories. You can't get a better edition at this price.

For that extra special sense of authenticity, I took this book deep into a local cave visited only by bats and vagrants. With a box of candles, a lighter, and a package of thin mint cookies, I began to read aloud. To my surprise, both bat and hobo seemed drawn to my voice or maybe the flickering light and scent of delicious mint.I made it mid way through the book before a deep, productive cough set in with a terrible fever rendering me unconscious. After an unknown time passed, I awoke on the side of a nearby road by the siren of an approaching ambulance. My book was laying beside me but my candles, lighter, cookies, shoes and socks were missing as was my wallet. I lay here in my hospital bed typing this review on my roommate's smart phone while the nurses dutifully treat my pneumonia and rabies. I wish someone had told me what I'm sharing with you: there's no need to read this book underground.

I like the cover of this book (better than the previous edition of the Wordsworth classics) the title of the book is in "gold plated", its light in weight though without compromising the quality of the paper and the pages are soft like a feather and gives a quality touch while leafing through the pages. And other than the "Notes from the underground", it includes 18 other short stories by Dostoevski... Worth having this book... Got it in great price, Special thanks to Amazon... Kudos!!!

Haven't yet read the Other Stories but Notes From Underground is Stream of Consciousness and Existentialism in the one story. Only 92 pages long but enough to turn my brain inside out. Just as well that I enjoy that type of thing. Of course it's worth the effort, try it. Highly recommended.

This is a complete collection (i believe but not sure!) Of Dosteovsky's short stories, the perfect choice with great price!

This story is scary and unnerving to read. Not because of any suspense of supernatural things, but because this vile human being is somehow relatable. I thought there was something wrong with me for feeling connected to such a character, but almost everyone that read it feels the same way. It's like a study of the most uncomfortable parts of ourselves.
