Can you use this in gun cradle in a gun bookbag? Or ammo containers for the future?

This item is made of stiff foam and does fine in my safe. I dont think it is made to be portable.

Will this fit the full size glocks or the double stack Glock compacts?

Yes. I have a S&W Governor (biggest one so far) and other automatics with double stack mags, and, they all fit.

How wide is the 8 pistol model?

My 8 pistol model measures 14" wide.

Will it fit chiappa revolvers?

That it will, my 50 DS fits fine, the spacing walls are high enough to keep the revolver standing, might have trouble with the 2 inch barrel but the other models shouldn't have an issue.
