A bit of a headscratcher
So, I bought these because I read the company’s founders’ book. The book was great, and quite a bit more scientific than diet-fad-ish. It taught me to do a cleaner keto, to avoid sugar alcohols and low-carb sweeteners, count total carbs instead of net carbs, eat only “real” foods I can pronounce, and avoid all vegetable oils like the plague. In the book, they talk pretty extensively about how their company makes bars and supplements for keto because so much of the stuff out there is just high-priced garbage. (Agreed.)These show up, and lo-and-behold, they’ve got 11 total carbs for a bar the size of a slightly-larger fig newton, so much stevia in them dentists within ten miles instinctually perked up like lions on the Serengeti, a bunch of stuff I can’t pronounce and have no idea what it’s there for, and it has sunflower lecithin (aka, oil). So much for that whole, ‘only accept oils from things that are naturally oily like coconuts and olives’ and ‘avoid cheap oils like the plague.’ I’m sure the company’s founders have wonderful rationales for all this, but it seems rather to go against their own rules. I don’t know. Maybe it’s a packaging issue and they should explain it better on the label?Oh yeah, and they taste pretty gross. No almond flavor, no chocolate flavor, just chemical sweetness.EDIT: so, I tried the other flavors, and they’re good. I think the almond butter brownie ones just aren’t. I also think Amazon probably mishandles them (think letting them melt and resolidify multiple times), because the weird and unappetizing texture—rock hard lump sitting in a pool of oil—isn’t intentional.

Awful Taste
***Edit: After leaving a negative review, the company did reach out and give me a full refund which I am very grateful for, so don't be afraid to try them! They told me they didn't expect me to change the review but I wanted to let others know that was very helpful.—Original review: I wanted to like these and still bought after reading all the reviews because there were some positive ones and I hardly ever write reviews but do NOT waste your money. These are 3x more expensive than the Lara Bars we buy and love and I couldn't even finish one of these because it tasted so horrible. I'm not sure what the taste or ingredient is that makes it so bad but it made me physically sick):

Overly sweet & chalky
I absolutely loved the idea of this bar! Great ingredients and great way to get some collagen. However, it is overly sweet and chalky. I was disappointed. I’ve got to find another way to eat these because they are unbearable by themselves. I would lower the stevia and figure out how to make the ingredients “stick” together more so it’s not so powder-y; maybe add coconut oil? I hope the company will revise the recipe a bit. It is such a great concept and I was really excited to have a ready to go brownie that provides such great nutrition. I would try this again if they changed it up.

Quality ingredients and tastes good
I’ve searched for low carb nutrition bars with simple and quality ingredients and this one is the only one I’ve found without a lot of fillers and inflammatory oils. It taste good enough for a snack or if on low carb regimen it could be dessert! The only ingredient that I don’t like is “natural flavors” and I hope in the future Perfect Keto will leave it out. But for now I think it’s the best nutrition bar on the market.

These bars are perfect for those living the ketogenic life. Price is a bit much
I really like these bars. I have to laugh at the poor reviews from people that compare the taste to other bars that are filled with tons of carbs. These are low carb, high fat bars. If you are not a stevia fan then don’t buy them. Simple. Having said that, these bars satisfy hunger and you fill full after consumption. If you are just looking for something that accommodates ketogentic way of eating then these are perfect. No, they don’t taste like some unhealthy candy/protein bar that many people want and are use too.Stop complaining- these bars are pretty good and really satisfy the person who understands keto and know what they can or cannot indulge in. I would have given 5 stars but the only downside is the price. They are a bit pricy and that may weigh against them in reviews when people’s expectations in taste are sized up against the price per bar. I would buy them more often but it gets a little expensive. Maybe the company would benefit in reduction the price and make up their cost by greater sales?

Overpriced
Before I give out my critical review let me first say that the bar tastes fantastic! Not only that but it is also one of those bars that doesn't make me feel sick like Quest... I work the night shift (12hrs) and this bar has helped me push through each and every night I work.So imagine my disappointment when such a fantastic bar gets slapped with such an atrocious price tag. A box of 12 keto bars for $40? Seriously? The box of quest only costs $25 or less.It is this unfair price that ultimately drove the rating to be one out of five stars. I cannot afford this product with me working as much as I do and needing to eat one of these bars per shift.
