Great video card depending on what you've currently got and what you play.
Keep in mind:• I did NOT preorder this product.• I know it is essentially the equivalent to a 1080Ti in terms of speed.• I am upgrading from a GTX 1060 (6GB).• I am willing to bet on a positive future for raytracing. This graphics card had been a great experience so far. I've gotten the speeds I was expecting. It's a beautiful graphics card with a sleek grayish/silver and see-through body, and has full rgb control. The only real cons I have to establish are as follows:• It's not really an upgrade from a 1080Ti. I wouldn't even upgrade from a 1080 or 1080Ti if you have one.• The RGB LED lights could be brighter. Even at their highest setting they're dull. I have a feeling this could be fixed with a fix to the EVGA Percision X software.• (Software) The EVGA Percision X software designed for the RTX series is currently very unstable, causing 'brown-outs' or complete shutdowns of your computer. Best to manually overclock it or leave it alone.• My unit has not been easy to overclock by hand compared to my MSI GTX 1060 6GB• RTX's performance heavily depends on the developer of the game you're running. No matter what, expect to lose a lot of frames. Not a good feature for competitive multiplayer games.

It’s pretty good
Ok so I must stress I had a 980 TI and I debated on getting the 1080 TI when it first released but I didn’t. With the launch of the 2080 I watched a lot of benchmarks, and considering the rtx features (Dlss vs TAA mostly) there is the very nice performance boost that could potentially destroy 1080 TI performance when otherwise the performance boost increase was marginal. So I decided to get this. As expected the performance is great compared to what o had before. It game me the FPS boost I expected. I’m running a i7 4930k with 16 gigs of ram at 2400 MHz. I booted up AC odyssey yesterday and max settings I was getting in the mid to high fifties in heavy populated towns...if I made a few sacrifices (I.e. lessend shadows and ambient inclusion) I had 60+ FPS at 3440x1440 Rez. People know this game drains GPU resources and on my 980ti I was getting low 40s and even mid high 30s with custom settings on a combo of Rez percentage lowering (80% of 1440p) highsettings...medium and low settings (shadows low, ambient occlusion low, texture high etc) I’d recommend it if you have a 90s family card or a 1080 (non TI) or below. Honestly if you have a 1080Ti I only see a reason to upgrade to the 2080Ti since those are 4K cards. I run 1440p with no intent to ever play at 4K. Even without RTX features the 2080 has the performance boost considering what you have.

Really Amazon? No bubble filler AT ALL?
I can order a pizza cutter and the package will come fully loaded w/ bubble filler but, apparently an $800 graphics card isn’t worthy of the same treatment. Get it together.

Excellent version of the RTX 2080
I won't get into the debate of whether the RTX 2080 is a good buy. That's up to you to decide. Personally, I got it because it's similar in price/performance to the 1080 Ti, but has some extra RTX goodies. For this review, I'll focus specifically on the EVGA GeForce RTX 2080 XC model.Pros:* Clocks are the same as the founders edition.* Slightly better than 1080 Ti gaming performance.* Good temps. 45C idle with stopped fans, 75C max.* Pretty quiet. Fan stop on idle is nice, and it's still barely audible on max fans.* EVGA brand. Never went with EVGA before, but they have a good reputation from most builders.Cons:* Cannot control LED lights with EVGA or Nvidia software. EVGA Precision XOC doesn't seem to be updated for this card. I dislike the lights but cannot turn them off (or another other color).

Amazing performance, but slightly warm and having some issues [read more below]
My first issue with the card is that there is no more DVI output. This caused the biggest dilemma for me since I have a 144Hz BenQ XL2411, and the only way to get higher refresh rates with an adapter is by buying a $100+ DisplayPort to Dual-Link DVI active adapter powered by USB. The card comes with an HDMI to DVI adapter, but that type of adapter can only support 60Hz refresh rates. The Display Port adapters can't even get me to 144Hz, I can only get to 120Hz without my display continuously resetting. My second issue is that the card's port that I'm using the adapter in keeps giving me issues. Yesterday in the middle of playing Path of Exile, my 120Hz screen went awry and the display turned into what I can only describe as fuzziness from bad antenna reception on your TV where you could barely see the picture behind it. So I unplugged the monitor from the card, and plugged it back in only to have it go completely fuzzy with 0 display visibility. Then I plugged the adapter into another port where the display came back just fine. I tried plugging it back into the first port, and it was still fuzzy. So I assumed it was a bad port. Then a couple hours later I plugged it back into the first port to take a picture of it, and the fuzziness was gone. I know it's still somewhat early in the release and there will be problems, but for an $800 piece of hardware, I shouldn't have to deal with ANY incompatibility induced hassle that is easily avoidable. There's no good reason not to have 1 DVI output out of the several others. Now I'm gonna have to go through the wait of returning and waiting for other adapters to arrive so I can maybe get one that doesn't give me problems trying to run at 144Hz, or worst case have to buy a new monitor altogether just to get Display Port support.

Very Good Graphics Card
The card is good and once is set up is works well. I would overall recommend it.There was only one small issue, which is fan wires were not tighten enough to the heat frame, and when fans run at low RPM, you could hear a "clicky" noise coming from them. This noise disappear as the fan speed raises. This is a very well known issue in the EVGA forums and I was able to fix it myself by manually tighten fan wires to the metal heat dissipation frame.

amazon resolved my issue. Good customer service goes a long way.
None of my display ports work. I’ve ordered different cables and tried several monitors. After endless hours of customer support and re explaining my issues to techs I’ve been told it’s defective and I have to send it back.Edit. Amazon sent me another and it only took 2 days. Amazing customer service. 2nd one I got worked. And the card is a monster. Love it! Very happy finally.

Works well, few issues
Card works really well, I was upgrading to this from a 1070 and it pumps out +140fps at 3440x1440 on apex for me whereas the 1070 did 80-100One of the issues I have is that the auto fan settings on idle spin up the fans every few secs which results in an annoying click sound. To fix I just manually set it so the fan runs low until temps heat up.On order Amazon sent me wrong code since their system was set up incorrectly and it gave me a 1080 fortnite bundle code.. and the Amazon people didn't understand this so I never got the 2 bonus games during my promo (ordered a week before 3 game promo came out). So I never got any bonus games.. I guess I should've just returned and re-ordered with the 3 game promo but there was no guarantee that would work either. Since they were less than helpful.Nvidia wasn't much help either other than that they confirmed amazon gave me the wrong code.. Amazon couldn't understand that a 1080 code doesn't work with a 2080 and it was a problem on their side..

As designed, Monsterously EPIC gaming experience
Pros: As we would expect, provides a smooth gaming experience on full settings on all games. >160FPSCons: Runs VERY hot, with Overwatch on maximum settings I am reaching ~80-82C with very appropriate cooling solutions in place. It does however cool down quickly. Given this is directly over the NVMe solid states, it is a bit concerning for heat dispersion, but has not been a problem yet due to shielding.
