This was important to me because I like to set an alarm to go off about half ...
I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of this product. I've had it for about two weeks now and have yet to find fault with it. Key features include:Dual alarms that can be set separately. This was important to me because I like to set an alarm to go off about half an hour before the other one without constantly hitting snooze, and I don't like to sleep with my phone near me.A projector that projects the time onto the ceiling. The projection is very clear and can be tilted or flipped 180 degrees. The projector is nice because it does not brighten the room, so if you're very sensitive to light you can turn the clock away from you but still have full use of the alarms and view the time on the ceiling. The clock does have three dimness settings, but you cannot turn the clock face all the way off.A USB port in the back. The USB is for plugging in a device such as a phone or watch to charge, which is nice if you only have one available outlet. So far, I have not noticed that devices I charge through the clock charge any slower than they do from the wall.A battery back-up. The clock must be connected to the wall to function, and will not run on batteries alone. However, if you lose power during the night and it is restored before you wake up, your alarms and the time will not be lost.Altogether a good buy for the price. The clock is relatively heavy, sleek, and the cords do not sit loosely in their ports. With any product you run the risk of being sent a defective one, but I'd take my chances with this.

Best I could find after my old RCA died
I actually just located a used, purportedly working replacement for my dead, beloved RCA. I'm keeping this for the ceiling projection, though.Good: Pretty. Lowest dimmer setting is satisfactory, although I would prefer even dimmer. (I rejected a number of clock radios because reviews said even dimmest was too bright.) Big display.Needs work, IMHO.Battery cover hard to get off and I scratched the face putting it face down on the counter to pry the cover off. There was no protective film. Live and learn.Setup unintuitive. I had to actually read the instructions.Buttons all the same except for snooze, and labels are small, so you gotta either peer closely at them or memorize them.Tippy. It's pretty slim, and there's a brace on the back but not on the front.Lightweight and there's no nonslip on the bottom. So unless you press buttons very straight down it slides. Can't dim projection. Can only flip it 180, which can make it hard to read depending on orientation. Four-way flip would be better.Speaker tinny, about like a 1960s portable transistor radio. Understandable given its slimness. I listen only to talk radio on it, so I can live with it.Still, I pored over specs and reviews and still believe this is the best of a bad/mediocre lot, at least in the price range. I think it's a tad overpriced for what it is.

Nice Clock but has some issues
I like this clock a lot. It has everything I needed; dual alarm and projection, usb charger and nice size. I found that it's a little tricky to set up as some of the buttons have dual purposes, but once it's set up its good to go. The projection is clear and bright on the ceiling and does not disturb me while sleeping. The only problem I have is with the volume. The volume keeps shutting off on the alarms. The alarms are still going off but no sound is coming out. This is the second time it has happened and now I can't get the sound back. Disappointed and may have to search for another clock..After contacting the company by e-mail, I am happy to say they were very responsive. They gave me a choice to get a refund or have them send me another clock. I really, really like the clock so I had them send me another clock, it came very quickly and all is good with the new clock.

the clock is easy to read by day
As several other reviewers have noted, this is an economic solution to needing a clock radio, but it is not a device with high-quality sound. That said, the clock is easy to read by day, even at the dimmest setting but too bright at night if you put it where it can shine on your face such as a nightstand next to the bed. I solved that problem by putting a folded sheet of translucent paper (old fashioned tracing paper) in front of the clock numbers. The time projection feature has proven to be a delightful addition to the bedroom. Invisible in daylight, it nonetheless is easy to read at night, though unobtrusive. The digital radio seems to work fine with strong signal stations. I've not used the onboard USB charger, other than to test that it does output some power. Overall, I'd say it's worth the money (~$25)TO THE MANUFACTURER: Suggestion for improvement - include some sort of external speaker jack to enable improved sound rendition.

Easy to set up!
I purchased this clock because about a year ago, I had purchased another radio alarm clock with a projection. Other reviewers stated the one I bought last year was a bit complicated to use, but it did have good reviews, so I bought it. Well......to make a long story short, after a frustrating year of having to keep getting the directions out to remember how to do things, I just purchased the SHANLONYI. I liked the reviews, and didn't want anything fancy - I just wanted a radio alarm clock with a projection. I found this clock pretty easy to set up, the radio comes in great, the clock numbers are HUGE, and the projection works fantastic. The only thing I would have liked better was if the clock display was in Red - from what i have read, Red is the best color to sleep by, then White, and Blue is the worst. But i knew when I choose it that the display was white, so it wasn't a surprise. So if you want a clock that is pretty easy to set up, that you can easily read, can set to either radio or an alarm, a good price, then this one fits the bill.!
