Avenir Regular Schrader Valve 700c Tube (700x25-35 27x1-1/4)

I have ordered Avenir tubes many times and have never had a problem with them. They are standard tubes, not the lightest or heaviest, and work well if installed correctly. I have yet to have any problem with them. Like any inner tube for a bicycle, you need to make sure the tire is free from debris or sharp objects inside the tire and rim before installing a new tube, as well as make sure your rim strip is correctly aligned. I use puncture resistant tires (Continental Gatorskins) so I rarely get flats. So far the tubes are holding up very well. I think improper installation or using cheapo tires will cause any tube to flat (nothing is 100%), and so far, these ones are holding up quite well after a few 100 commuting miles in the City.

So, I got this great Mongoose Sinsure, and have been doing some upgrades. I put some different (smaller) tires on it and decided to go with these tubes based on their price and that they were eligible for the free Amazon Prime 2-Day Shipping deal. They hold air very well. I guess that's about what's expected of them.They arrived in one piece, with no leaks or issues. They arrived within 2 days. Quality product at a fair price.

Changed the tires and the tubes. Filled them to required psi. One of them exploded immediately, within 2 minutes. The other one waited until our nerves had settled and we were driving down the road. Went off in the car, we were both deaf for a minute. Neither tube lasted long enough to make it onto the bike. I know it wasn't anything with the bike, because the old tubes and tires weren't busted, just old and I was replacing them for my boyfriend's birthday. Save your money and your eardrums.

Experienced a tear at the valve stem, like several other reviewers, the day after installing one of these.I've gone through four of these so far. One is still on my bike and is doing fine, two of them were lost to punctures that were probably rider error, and one was the leaking one described above. All but the one that failed performed just fine and I wouldn't have reservations about ordering more except that the valve-stem problem seems to be endemic. I live really close to my LBS, which has tubes from another brand at the same price, so this deal isn't good enough to let Avenir get away with haphazard quality.

i dont know if these are good tubes or not.they appear to have uneven sections and bulged areas of my tires once inflated but this seemed to disappear after use.thin and subject to punctures.

came in nice and early, packed well enough, grey bubble envelope. it was the right size no problems with it. its not top of the line but youre getting your monies worth.

I had to buy a new tube for my Schwinn road bike after having a pinch flat (make sure you inflate your tires properly). There really isn't much to say, I installed it in about 3 minutes, pumped it up, and went on a 20 mile ride. It worked just fine, and I didn't experience another flat.

avenir tubes and tires are well made what impressed me about this tube is the valve was actually armored where it fits thru the rim quality you don't see from other brands holds up to 60psi on my bike
