Plug and play with Windows
I needed an FTDI-compatible simple KKL adapter and this just worked out of the box. Plug and play with Windows so I didn't even need to install drivers.I didn't check if it has a genuine FTDI chipset - it works so it doesn't really matter.

Works for vcds but burnt out after 6 months
Decent enough price and driver setup was easy with the supplied disc and instructions.Enabled me to read codes via vcds (vag-com) easily enough.My only compliant is the circuit board on the obd connector burnt out in 6 months after only a handful of uses.

Successfully turned off airbag lights but software install tricky
The cable came with a mini CD of drivers which proved problematic to install. The instruction file, once we found a program to open it, seemed to be corrupted. However a quick YouTube search for tutorials lead us to equivalent drivers online. Configured the COM ports (I don't know what it means, we just followed the YouTube instructions) and set up VCDS-lite (available from Ross Tech but also included on the mini disk). The plastic shroud on the cable proved a bit awkward with the OBD port on my car (2007 Skoda Fabia) but with some encouragement was successfully attached.After all that it was pretty easy to set up VCDS-lite and turn off the airbag warning light, which is the whole reason I bought this product. So that was a success, but the process overall was somewhat traumatic. Hopefully this helps others understand how to use this product.

Worth the money
The cd didn’t work but you can find the drivers online. Worked perfectly for the project that I had - connected a Webasto to a laptop
