great little generator
light weight for a generator. relatively quiet. great features and had zero problems. used in 3 typhoons starts right up and used over 70 hours. eco mode saves fuel and makes it quieter when not at full load.Update: 2023I believe I got this generator in 2018. as mentioned above I went threw 3 typhoons with this generator and never had a problem. When I came back to America in 2020 I drained the oil and ran it dry of gas and put it in storage for 3 years. In summer of 2023 I put more oil in it, put some gas in it and it started up no problems after the second pull. I can't recommend this generator enough.

Solid
Started on the very first pull, which was surprising. Ran about 10hrs so far with my camper. Did good. Ran window ac unit no problem. Always started right up. It isn't really any quitier than my westinghouse igen4500. But ecomode is very quiet.

Just Amazing!
I have a bigger generator with electric start, dual fuel, and able to run many appliances. I also have an older Honda generator but much smaller wattage rating. Both of these work so well except the fuel use is very high. Even the dual fuel model is great on LP gas but storing 10 tanks for an emergency is not what I want to do. AND the availability of gasoline after a major storm is difficult to say the least. Being prepared is the most important thing for us. Hurricane Irma taught us some hard lessons. Sleeping is the most important problem because resting in 90 degree temperatures inside your house with equal humidity is impossible. SO, enter Wen...We use this with two upstairs bedrooms with installed windows AC units rated at 450 watts each. The WEN used a gallon of gasoline, not 4 or 6 in the case of our other generators. The WEN runs most of the night at half load even with the AC windows cycling their compressors on an off. I stayed up late while were tested our units for the beginning of the Hurricane season. The WEN was just so good on gasoline and ran 7 hours with both AC windows units running all night. We also ran other device in the bedroom like phone chargers and white noise speakers (NO FANS). It performed outstanding and would probably run for more than 10 hours as advertised on one window AC unit. All that on ONE GALLON OF GASOLINE. We would recommend buying a one of the 14 gallon gasoline containers available on Amazon. The plastic one is a couple hundred dollars and saves on filling multiple gas cans and has a way to pump the gas in the generator without trying to turnover a 5 gallon gas can. Then after the storm is past, power is restored you can simply put the gas in your car before it starts to go bad with water buildup.I would buy a Honda model like this but honestly this WEN is just a great deal for the price tag. The Honda's are several thousand dollar, rather pricey!Getting ready for a storm before they come is so important. Take it from someone who wasn't ready on several occasions thinking it will not come here...WRONG! Being prepared is better and not that difficult.Another word of advise would be to get one of the Jackery or similar large battery backup inverter charging units with the solar option. These work very well and allow you to give the generators a rest and still have a way to charge devices like cellular phones and tablets. Communicating is VERY important because ALL the cellular towers here have generator backups. That's a lifeline for an emergency. Dead batteries mean no contact...just sayin! If there is a CON to any of these generators, including the WEN, is the requirement to change the oil often. But If you stock up on several quart containers of full synthetic oil its an easy operation to swap out the old oil for new. ENJOY!!

Easy to use, though a bit more noisy than I expected
I have had this generator for about 2 weeks now, and have used it for a total of about 25 hours of run time. We live in the 'third world' of California, complete with power shut-offs every time we have any significant wind. Today is our third power outage in the last two weeks.I bought this generator because of its power rating (1800 watts continuous, 2250 surge), and because it was advertised as a fairly quiet model. The good:* Easy setup* Easy to start, usually 2 pulls* So far it is very reliable* Able to power the refrigerator, TV, Satellite Receiver, a couple of lamps, and phone chargers simultaneously.* Long run time on a 1-gallon tank of gas (6+ hours on economy setting).* Simple controls* I like the ability to have it empty the carburetor of fuel upon shutdownLess than perfect:* A bit more noisy than I expected. I guess that my expectations were too high.* Did not come with motor oil* Frequent oil changes needed (every 25 hours)Overall, I am happy with this purchase, provided that it proves to be reliable in the longer term.

For the price, outstanding!
New to using generators, just got a camper and needed one. This one had good reviews and was 200 bucks cheaper then harbor freight. And I love it! Not too heavy to carry around. Very well made. Very easy to start, not too loud at all. Lasted about 10 hours per tank running lights and fridge for camper. Awesome product, would buy again!
