JiMMY'S! Functional Protein Bar - Caramel Chocolate Nut - Eye of the Tiger - 12 Count - High Performance Protein Bar with Caffeine and Turmeric - Low Sugar, 25g of Protein

Many protein bars often have high sugar or fat content, or their protein levels are insufficient. Additionally, some taste terrible. However, this particular bar is both delicious and nutritious, containing 25 grams of protein and only 6 grams of sugar. I frequently eat it for breakfast on my way to the gym, or I enjoy it as a snack in place of a dessert.

Most protein bars I've tried have always been too rich, too thick, too sweet, or too chewy, but this one is not any of those things, and in fact tastes delicious. I've been a big fan of Jimmy Bars for a long time. When they had their original bar at Costco, I purchased like almost an entire pallet. I was disappointed when they stopped making those but then I realized they made all these new flavors.I was skeptical at first because I don't like caramel at all but nonetheless, went with the most popular flavor (Eye of the Tiger). To my surprise, not only did it far exceed the original Jimmy Bar but it did not taste like caramel at all, which I consider to be a great thing. So here is where I do agree with some of the negative reviews on it not tasting like caramel, however my only feedback would be to just remove caramel from the description rather than make it taste like caramel.Unlike other bars, each bite takes a reasonable amount of time to chew and ingest because it's just the right balance of density, flavor, and texture. I could probably eat an entire bar without drinking water. It's a little pricy but worth it if like me, you would rather eat your shoe than some of the other popular protein bars out there.

I've been a big fan of these since being introduced to them at my dialysis clinic. So much so that I ordered different flavors on my own. I was disappointed with my last order as the texture on the bars has changed to a grainy soft texture. I loved and appreciated the crisp and crunch of the old style. It'd be great if they still offered them as an option. Still, one of the better tasting bars out there but that's just my opinion.

My son said that they are not the best tasting. But good source of protein. Good for when he is working and needs a snack mid-day. My son that ordered them name is Jimmy and him and his brother and sister grow up with the song eye of the tiger. So that's the reason he ordered it.

I can't speak for all of the flavors, but Eye of the Tiger -- the only one I tried -- tastes like a medley of chemicals and cardboard. Not surprising, I suppose, when you glance at the ingredients list (vegetable glycerin, palm oil, natural colors, etc.). Note also it contains Maltitol, a laxative, as the primary ingredient after the protein blend and peanut butter, so make sure you have a bathroom nearby. I can forgive these kinds of ingredients if it, you know, tasted good. But it does not -- I could barely finish one bar. Yuck!

I sometimes eat too many veggies and omit protein. Not deliberately...I get distracted by projects, chores, life and just grab whatever's in the vegetable bin to munch on. These bars are the perfect remedy for me. The are compact, dense, and oh! so tasty. You can take a little nibble and the flavor is huge, making for a happy snacking experience. With a glass of milk, it is a quite excellent snack.
