I stained and sealed the wood and put house numbers on it. Looks great and can be seen from a large distance. The piece arrives unfinished so you can stain/paint/seal it.Would purchase again.

These work great for me when making quick wooden plaques for various occasions. I've purchased 4 of them so far and find them very suitable for my need. Much better than other similarly priced pieces that are instead made of thin sheets glued on top of each other.On the negative side: The wood has a very unfinished color and feel, but a quick lacquer/coating takes care of this and allows you to better customize the final shade/texture. These are made from several 1/2" thick pieces of wood being fused together, and since the pieces are varying shades, it's easily visible when looking at it, though the seams themselves are structurally strong and its purely cosmetic issue that can be slightly mitigated if stained/lacquered. Also I've received a couple with small dark colored knots (<1/2" diameter).On the pro side: these ship super quick, and for the price are an awesome quality and value! The French corners are a great touch, and the rounded edges are nicely done. I typically drill a 2" diameter circular insert at 1/4 depth for placing coins, and there's no hint of cracking/splitting.

I received these boards and they were actually smaller than I was expecting. I engraved 1 to see how it looked and I decided to keep 5 and return the other 5 and order larger boards. I've ordered 10 larger boards for a customer's order and I have decided to keep all 10 of these boards as well. Will definitely be buying more of these, as the wood engraves beautifully!

These are kind of expensive as sign blanks go so don't expect a big profit if you are making signs to sell.Also, the seem to have been finished with a dull router bit as the "finished" edges are rather rough, especially the French cut corners. I don't like selling signs with rough edges so I spent a bit of time sanding them. For the price, they should have cleaner edges.

This arrived in perfect shape without any splits or major knots. The routed edge and corners make it quite decorative. It is sanded to a medium smoothness and will just require a quick sanding before painting. Great starter to paint and use to display vintage postcards.
