Moroccan Small Clay Tajine Pot

Does not work. I think it is for display. Thew it out.

I got this for my mother for Christmas and she loves it. She had always wanted one so I got her one. It is absolutely beautiful. The picture on the item page does not do it justice. It was also larger than I thought it was going to be so that was a very nice surprise. We made chicken and rice in it and it was wonderful.

tagine arrived really well packed and fast - first off - it is small - perfect for 2 people - warning - it is glazed on the inside - the glazing is okay but it is uneven and thin and thick at some points - it also is missing glaze on the edge as shown in the photo - I was hoping the inside of the tagine would not be glazed but be aware that the inside is sealed with clear glazinf so the clay wil not provide earth-tones to your food - in honesty - I would not have bought this is it were clear that the inside was glazed - I will nto cook with this piece because the glazing/clear coat looks like it will flake off.

I was looking for a baking dish to try cooking some of my Moraccan recipes and this fit the bill. It is the perfect size for two people. It is also very pretty. I have it out on display when it's not in use. LOVE IT!

Made well. No worries using on top of a charcoal grill. It showed up a day earlier than expected and that’s a plus
