Stanley - File Type Surform Reg Cut (21-293)

Perfect replacement for my Stanley Surform rasp. They eventually wear out and need to be replaced when they do. My rasp works like new again. Easy to replace. Great price from Amazon.

Perfect fit, fast cut on softwoods. Excellent for contouring car body putty.

I bought both this replacement blade ("standard cut" 21-293) and a similar related mode ("fine cut" 21-393) because the descriptions and pictures on Amazon and Stanley's sites are not consistent with themselves or each other.Both models' plane teeth and spacing were identical.The only difference was at one edge of the blades. This model (21-293) was serrated along the full length of one edge, sort of like a 5.5 teeth-per-inch saw "for working into edges". The other model (21-393) had two closed edges. Stanley 21-393 10-Inch SurformFlat Fine Cut Replacement BladeNeither model had the semicircular notch pictured on Amazon and Stanley. I don't know if that's considered an allowable defect, or possibly a feature that is on the way in or out. Who knows?

I have my fathers 55 year old sureform shaver, and finally replaced the blade. It got perfectly, and I was able to easily trim the edge of my bedroom door so it now closes smoothly

Nothing wrong with the blade, but the sender can't seem to package them correctly for shipment. The blade arrived broken. The blades are not bendable, you would think the shipping department would know that. They refunded my money immediately, no problems. I was hoping they would send another blade, but they didn't even try, they just gave me a refund instead.

Good for leveling things like wood or wrinkled paint.
