Brilliant Expansion
Box is bigger than i had expected; same size as the original core game box. Excellent components, and adds a whole new facet to the game. Recommended.

This is an expansion and not a game itself
An excellent expansion to Memoir 44 core game that is backwards compatible with any map packs that include use of air units. Much more fluid integration than the older hard to source air pack.

My favourite Memoir '44 expansion
Initially I disliked that the aircraft block line of sight - how does that make thematic sense? And price feels a little steep. BUT other than that, this expansion ticks so many boxes. It is backwards compatible with existing scenarios, so now you can play all those again with a fresh twist. The aircraft models are quite detailed, and the stands work well. The rules are fairly straight forward, and include fun new cards. Rolling two dice on three hexes? Yes, please!It includes new scenarios (some of which you will require to have other expansions for). It does not add much to set-up time or play time, but gives you extra choices to make during the game. Some expansions, you are not going to use every game. This one, you can, and it is fun. One of my favourite expansions for any game ever! It is quite pricey, but it is a well thought out, polished product with a huge replay value that makes Memoir '44 even more fun.
