Update after four years of use
Below this update is my original review. I have to update from two stars to FIVE!!My original spatula split after 6 weeks, BUT, the company replaced it quickly AND the new one has lasted four years. It is still going strong; however, after four years, I am afraid it may give out, and I use it several times a day. Eggs for breakfast and flipping other foods for our main meal. So I plan to order another one just like it. I just noticed that the price has actually gone DOWN since my original purchase. How ironic is that? See original review for other details about this fabulous spatula.I have to update my review. I still LOVE the spatula. it is absolutely perfect for my needs; HOWEVER, after about 6 weeks of use, the plastic has split and the metal is coming through. It is a bit expensive to only last for 6 weeks. Wish I knew how to contact the manufacturer.I have a really hard time understanding the bad reviews. Yes, it is big. The dimensions are given in the description. Even though it is large, I can use it in all but my very smallest skillet (one egg size).I love it. I have only had it a few weeks, but I have used it at least a dozen times - omelettes, chicken, vegetables. It has not stuck to anything; in fact, nothing has really stuck to it either (except maybe uncooked egg). Today, I went back and forth, using it in my electric skillet and in my frying pan on the stove. The breaded squash did not stick to it. I LIKE the large size. It makes it so much easier and faster to turn frying foods. It is slightly flexible - it needs to be. But it is not so flexible that it bends down. The front edge is very thin, making it easier to slide under foods. Thanks to it being heat resistant, I can leave it in the pan while cooking. So far, I have found nothing to dislike about it. I may even order another one.

Why didn’t I get this sooner
So for many years, I used a typical small pancake turner you find in most stores. Of course, flipping the pancakes has always been a challenge and gives my pancakes interesting shapes.I saw this and figured why not. It is definitely wider than most other flippers I have found. The handle is more robust than others as well.I tried it out with my monster size pancakes ( about 5 inches wide at a minimum). It handled it very well and nicely. It kept the shape of the pancake. The edges are of a high temperature silicone. I use it on a griddle at 400 degrees and it has shown no warping or other damage so far.I highly recommend having this in your kitchen toolbox.

I just fell back in love with making pancakes
I just made pancakes on the griddle last night and the ranged in size from about 2 inches to over 6 inches in diameter. With this turner, I can easily flip any size pancake I wish to make. As the other reviews said this turner is big or at least I should say that it is wide. When I cook over light eggs, I cook 4 at a time in a twelve inch skillet and use a turner similar to this one in shape but not quite as wide. (I will try to post some pictures later of the two turners and a ruler). I did try to use this turner in the same way and it was possible to flip the eggs but first you had to slide the other eggs a lot more out of the way just to be able to get this turner under the one you were going to flip. If I had only been doing 2 overlight eggs in a 12 inch skillet it would have been fine but if I'm only doing two I use a smaller skillet. This is a great pancake turner if you are making pancakes on a griddle but if you're looking for a turner to flip eggs in a skillet you should look for one that isn't as wide. I have not tried this for flipping eggs on the griddle but as long as your griddle is big enough that you have a lot of room between the eggs it would probably be ok. I just prefer the skillet and stovetop for overlight eggs because it's easier than getting out the griddle. Plus, as a previous "appliances are us" lady, some of you know what I mean, I'm trying to convert as much as possible to the usually simplier route of using the stove and cookware.I'm still on a quest for another turner to flip eggs so I have one at the ready when the other one is in the dishwasher. I was hoping this would work for pancakes and eggs but it didn't for me. Since it is described as a pancake turner, I gave it 5 stars because for that it is great.

Best spatula ever used though not very durable
Just received my third spatula in three years. I won’t not have this large incredible spatula in the kitchen as it works so perfectly for flipping large servings, huge pancakes, a pan filled with eggs or veggies. The only bummer is that the aluminum handle only attaches to the silicone flipper a 1/2 inch at best and there’s not much silicone on the top and bottom of the spatula for structural support. So, in time the metal handle will pop through the silicone underneath as ya compress the spatula into the pan if you’re trying to increase searing of veggies or in our case wild mushrooms we’ve collected and are trying to char. Though the performance of this large spatula is worth the expense of replacement each year so we’ve accepted the reality that we’ll go through one a year. Wish the company would increase the length of the handle into the silicone spatula by another 1/2” inch for structural integrity though understand why they wouldn’t do this because they offer an incredible product that I and everyone else will gladly replace yearly as needed. Can understand what the company is doing with their design and until I find a more lasting similarly performing product they’ve got me.

Another excellent product from Oxo
Got it recently. Have used 3 times to make omelettes in 10" pans and 12" pans. What a pleasure!Wish it was an inch or two longer but the length is not a dealbreaker.Sometimes, to slide the blade fully under the omelette, I need a small spatula to hold the omelette in place. Another minor inconvenience.Overall, two thumbs up!

replaced my black plastic utensil
For health & safety reasons, replaced my old black plastic spatula with silicone. This works well, and is comfortable to handle.
