Good buy if you need it.
This thing works great! I picked it up to install a new mini split unit, got this unit and some adapters. It runs flawless and comes with everything you need. I highly recommend.

Owned my set for 5 years now
So the longevity question has been answered! THIS is a quality setup! Maybe not the fastest or the best, but sure as heck does just as good of a job as anything else costing more. I've used mine to add 134A to leaking systems, repair systems, and have it hanging always within reach in my garage. I use the standard small cans of 134A and I can't tell you how many I have used through this manifold. I love it. I recommend it.The vacuum pump works GREAT! Will vacuum down the system perfectly! The bag is very nice as it protects the vacuum pump from dust and grit and damage sitting on the shelf. What is even more wild, to me, is that the price has gone DOWN since I bought mine! Wild!Seriously, for the shade tree mechanic, backyard mechanic, or even a mechanic in a shop, I can confidently recommend this particular kit as being a good buy. I literally just saved a $2500 dealer repair bill for my wifes AC by doing it myself with less than $400 in lifetime warranty parts! YouTube can show you how to use it! This setup cost less than the $159 diagnosis fee I ended up having to pay! Get you one!

** UPDATE* Unboxing!
The media could not be loaded. UPDATE! Finally put the product to the test!Pros:- as mentioned, the materials are all well made and feels very durable.- my car now blows cold air- easy to set up- fairly easy to useCons:- Directions? where are they? the "instructions" provided were not helpful, in my opinion. (ended up finding videos on Youtube)- The can tap: doe not specify if it needs to be used with a self-sealing can? either mine was faulty or needs a self-sealing can. Either way, I lost out on one can of refrigerant and had to buy a new can tap as well.- Recharge hose: does not fit on the can tap without the adapter that's included (I believe the adapter is for the recharge hose, product does not specify).- recharging: had to invert the refrigerant to really get it to flow into the car which then made measuring the amount going in more difficult. Not sure if this is related to having to use the adapter on the recharge hose or not.Overall, I am glad that this worked and I was able to save money by not going to a dealer or mechanic. Would use again in the future if needed.Hey guys. This is just the unboxing of the product. Will update my review after use.Pros:LightweightCompact carrying bagHeavy duty equipment

If you're lucky, the job will still get done
Bought this to recharge after replacing parts on my truck's AC system. Vacuum pump functions as expected and is quiet enough that none of my neighbors complained. Plus it quickly pulled my system to -30 HG, which apparently means "a vacuum". Unfortunately, losing that vacuum upon closing off the manifold lines took all of 5 seconds.Oh no! Read instructions, repeat cycle, same result.Check all accessible system connections, repeat cycle, same result.Looks like I'm going to have to pull it all apart and start over... so yeah, lots of suck.Well, thank goodness for web forums and cranky old HVAC guys with opinions is all I can say. Taking their advice , I tested the manifold (the gauges and hose bit) that comes with this package and guess what? It's broken! Luckily on the low side (blue) was leaky, so I was able to pull vacuum through the high side (red) and it held overnight. Great! Now I can't recharge through the high side because I dislike exploding metal cans, especially when they are in my hands, and the blue side of this manifold leaks like a boat with a big hole in it (read: a lot). Luckily again, a neighbor of mine had one of those O'PepZone self-recharge hoses in his garage, and even more luckily it didn't leak, so I was able to get the job done. Now the moral of this story is, check the manifold first. QC on this part is apparently less than awesome, as mine is not the first review to complain about the "won't hold vacuum" problem. But also, be thankful for the lucky things in your life, even if they're small. If it weren't for the multiple lucky things that happened to me (see above) counter-acting the very unlucky thing that arrived in the XtremePowerUS box, I might still be contorted into a pretzel under my dashboard, redoing a job that was actually done right the first time.
