I have a soon to be a year old babygirl. She is 28lbs and wears size 3t. Do i need to get that size for this moana costume as well or smaller?

If this is costume, not bathing suit, I would go to 4t.

My daughter is 14 lbs - would 6-12 months fit her okay?

That should work. Of course would not fit for long but don’t want a bathing suit too big either.
