Very Pleased
Perhaps it was beginner's luck, the first attempt we had 99% success in getting sprouts and they turned out great. Wife is happy to have fresh bean spouts for her Korean dishes.

Seeds Not Beans
We were very surprised when we received these "soybeans". We are Japanese and have been buying soybeans from Japanese supermarkets for as long as we can remember. This was not what we expected. They are much smaller than what we are used to and the many discolored "beans" were also off-putting considering we normally consume them as is much like other beans such as chick peas and kidney beans. After inquiry to the company "Handy Pantry", I was given a whirlwind lesson on beans, seeds and food laws.According to the company, these "soybeans" are sold as "seeds" and governed by seed laws as opposed to food laws. This I discovered after being confused by the manager's referral to "soybeans" as "seeds". When I brought up other beans such as kidney beans that are commonly sold in US supermarkets, it was then I learned those beans are governed by food laws. "All beans are seeds, but not all seeds are beans" was the mantra of the conversation.I simply wanted to discover an alternative to the soybeans we have been purchasing from Japanese supermarkets as we no longer had access to a local one any more and delivery of food products overseas has proven to be difficult. Trying to ascertain the difference between Japanese and US sold soybeans ended up being more complicated than I have imagined. This company "Handy Pantry" and most likely all other US companies selling soybeans on Amazon are selling "seeds" and not "soybeans". In retrospect, I wonder why that these "soybean-seeds" are sold under the "grocery" category and not "home and gardening" when other "seeds" such as tomato seeds are classified under that category. Sunflower seeds and kidney beans are still commonly sold in US supermarkets. Are these seeds or beans? I'm not even sure anymore, but according to the explanation from the manager, I can only imagine both sunflower "seeds" and kidney "beans" are sold as and governed by "food laws", but these "soybeans" are sold as and governed by "seed laws".Can you tell me why this product by admission from the company, governed by "seed laws", is not more clearly labeled as "seeds" and perhaps should be sold as "seeds" under the gardening section and not under the grocery section and being passed off as "food"?

MAL SABOR
Esta soya orgánica tiene un sabor amargo, no sé si es porque no estaba fresca o porque tiene originalmente este sabor tan feo.
