I have 2 cats that like to troll around my small, antique drawer-less nightstand (which I love, but isn't as practical as it should be). I needed something that had a drawer to stash things like over the counter meds away from them. This fits the bill plus greatly expands my nightstand space by adding sturdy, usable tiers. I am now able to fit a lamp, alarm clock, kleenex, meds, hand cream, eye glasses and a water glass with room to spare. Zero assembly - unpack and start using. Not particle board - real, painted wood! Very attractive, sturdy and practical.

Originally I posted a review of this product under the headline "Huge Honkin' Defect," and gave it one star. The original review is copied and pasted below, along with a picture of the defect. Amazon offered me the option of replacing the desk organizer as opposed to returning it for a refund, and I decided to go for it because defects were not a common complaint in the reviews. The replacement arrived quickly, and was FLAWLESS. I wish I'd been able to leave the original one-star review in place, because it was an honest assessment of that particular item. After receiving the replacement, I felt obligated to counterbalance the negative review with a positive, separate review, but could only choose between deleting the original or editing it. I didn't think the original review should just disappear like it never happened, because potential buyers should be aware that they might also receive a defective product. But I believe defects are the exception to the rule, and I'm very, very pleased with the quality and appearance of this product.ORIGINAL REVIEW:Apparently this product wasn't inspected AT ALL before it was shipped, because this defect would have been found even if it was just casually inspected. I noticed it right away after removing the unit from its bubble wrap packaging. I thought "maybe I can fix this if a nail came loose and caused the gap between the back and side pieces." Then I realized that the pieces are all glued together. Nevertheless, using a rubber mallet, I carefully tapped the side panel; trying to close the gap. No luck. The gap is literally glued into place! The picture was taken from the back, for the best view. It's a shame that I have to return it, because if not for this huge honkin' defect, I would have given it 5 stars for its sturdiness and beauty, and loved it forever!

Owning 2 for the nightstands in my bedroom. Purchased the first one last year and loved it so much I ordered the second one yesterday. The organizer arrived early today and was well packaged. No assembly needed which was a plus. Well-made item.

Pre-assembled, sturdy, clean and modern. I like the tiered design with the combo of shelves and a drawer.

This is an attractive, sturdy, well made organizer for my small space. The only reason I deducted a star is because letter size paper will not fit in the drawer at the bottom. If it was just a couple of mm deeper (front to back) the paper would fit so that’s a bit annoying. Other than that it’s perfect.

I love this, I went from a messy mail station in my home to organization. It feels like real wood but it not so heavy as wood. It fits perfectly in my corner. Just what I needed.

I bought this organizer for my home office to avoid a cluttered desk. It came tightly packaged, undamaged, and looks as shown in the photos. I did add 4 grippy dots to the bottom so it didn’t slide around on my cabinet and also removed the wooden peg that prohibits the drawer from being able to pull all the way out (glued into a pre-drilled hole, removed easily). I added the 1” metal trays to organize the drawer and am very happy with the purchase!

It was the size I was looking for. Not big/bulky or oddly shaped. Sturdy enough for the job I needed. Easy to keep clean. Looks and keeps things neat. Top shelf is perfect for tissue box too! If I could add one thing, it would be another drawer, same size below the first. Love this purchase.😊
