Smells like moth balls when you first lay it down, but that smell goes away after a day or so. Its tough to prove its working, but we've been using it off and on for years and when we don't lay it down, we tend to get garter snakes in the yard - if I put this out around the areas they tend to visit, we don't get them any longer.

My husband used this around the boarder of our home bc we have snakes everywhere...the smell is SO strong! I actually watched the snakes run away and leave which was funny!The Problem is my husband sprinkled it in the backside of my vegetable garden which is also up against the house... he read its was ok for Plants...but it doesn't mean vegetable plants!!!!...So I went out carefully trying to remove the product from my veggie garden which is insanely hard to do bc its so small...now Im panicking that my tons vegetables have been poisoned. bc I am not sure how it can seep into my soil and mulch and effect the growth and quality to eat them...the yellow circle is where he put a line of it and the red is where all my veggies are...if anyone else used this in the veggie garden and didn't have issues please reach out to me bc I'm heartsick over this. I removed as much as I could but I know it was impossible to get all. I heard white Vinegar can weaken the chemicals and also the snakes hate it so I might go out and spray that....

Have used this for two years. Haven't seen any snakes or skinks at my door or on my patio (small lizards & insects are unbothered by it). Very strong scent. Be sure to keep pet paws away from it.

One snake bite can cost $100,000 in emergency treatment. Buying 4 of these a year on a subscription is far cheaper than the risk.Works to drive off snakes. I have not seen a copperhead in 2 years since putting it down on a schedule every 3 months.

Product may work, I don't know for sure but it doesn't last long. The smell was totally gone in less than a week with no rainfall. Also, the container and ad states this will cover 3 acres and that is absolutely false. I doubt I will be buying this again.

I've used this in the past and I hadn't seen any sankes. So, I decided to give it a try again. it seems to help... I haven't seen in snakes in quite some time. Just be ware: This repellent is VERY potent! After sprinkling it out in my yard, My clothes and hair smelled like it. Even though I wore a mask (and gloves of course), I could still smell it. I put the empty container in my trash bin, which is in my garage), and now my entire garage smells like Snake A-way!

My husband saw a copperhead on our property, so I ordered this to hopefully deter them from setting up near our house. I haven't see the snake, hopefully he moved on
