Great Beginner Guitar
I gave this to my 14 y/o daughter for her birthday. She loved the design! It tunes well and stayed tuned. The sound is clear and crisp. She learned how to play this guitar in 2 months time by just watching tutorials on YouTube. Plugged in to an amplifier is also great!

Nice little guitar
Hey, for $250 this is not a bad guitar. The action was a bit high when I received it - I checked the neck relief and it was fairly spot on so I had to trim down the bridge about .040 after using a string action gauge to determine the height of the strings at the 12th fret. It now plays really nicely and the action is quite low. This is a great guitar to have around to pick up and play, and the built in tuner works pretty well, sometimes it is not as responsive as I would like but with some patience it does get the guitar in tune, and the intonation is good. The graphics are really interesting, being laser cut and all. I might use this for some busking adventures when I get the chance. It puts out a decent sound, doesn't sound all that crisp plugged in, but it is still great unplugged.

Surprised at how much I love this
I love this guitar! I actually ordered a much much more expensive Luna guitar from GC and was told that one was on backorder. I waited 2 months before GC said it would be a 6 month wait. I canceled that order and came over to Amazon and got this one for about 200 bucks, thinking hey, it's cheap so if I want a better one later, no biggie. But holy cow, I love this guitar. It plays nicely and is comfortable. When it arrived (no damage, perfect condition), I was worried about the thickness of it. It's about 5 inches thick and I have short T-Rex arms that struggled to hold onto a 3.5 inch guitar. But surprisingly, I am not having any problems reaching the strings. The action is definitely not too high. I mean, for the most part, it's an acoustic guitar so you expect more distance. But the strings are soft and comfy so it's not really a problem. The electric function is very cool. I use it as an acoustic, but for fun, I do plug it in once in a while. I've never had an electric guitar so I don't know how to review that part. When plugged in to an amp or an amplifier headset, the slightest pluck of a string produces a rich electric guitar sound. I think it's very cool. I can be terrible (and I am) and the notes come out like I'm a professional. One thing to note: The design is etched into the wood, which looks very cool. However, the placement of the design is such that you can't put a pick guard there without covering up a good portion of the design. If your pick accidentally scratches the surface -- which mine does a lot -- you get a wash board sound. I guess the solution would be to practice enough that you don't scratch the surface. A bonus is the built in tuner. It is so much better than trying to balance a phone with app on my knee. All in all, I am very happy with this Luna. I only bought it as a placeholder while I found a better one. But I do really enjoy playing it and am not in any hurry for a replacement.

Luna Henna Acoustic-Electric Great Sound Great looking
For the money this is a sweet acoustic-electric with character and well built. The nut for the strings toward the headstock is the coveted bone nut not plastic. I have had plastic string nuts on guitars that cost $450 - $600 and had to pay someone to change it. You don't have to break the bank for a good guitar. The henna and peacock design is burned in and gives it an eye popping look for a great show peace. Full sound and great play-ability in my opinion right out of the box, I've played for 40+ plus years with bands, friends and to have fun and lay down some tracks. Have also played most brand name guitars both electric and acoustic, this is my first Luna guitar. This keeps pace easily with mid range models and some higher models. The Craftsmanship Rocks. This might look like overkill or a paid review but it is not. Something this good I will write a review and give credit where credit is due. Thanks Luna Guitars.

Sounds and plays very smooth.
Received the guitar quickly and packaged very safe. The guitar has a very deep sound compared to my Orangewood guitar. The set-up is very good with no fret buzz and low action. Plays very smooth and is better than my Ibanez, Alvarez, Mitchell, and Harley Benton. Guitar is very light and beautiful as expected. Very pleased thus far .

Shipped from AmaZon in super thin mfr box, inspect carefully
The guitar looks fantastic and seems to play well. The shipping box is very thin so there was a small bit of damage to the input jack area in that the screws were pulled out and would not go back in. I called Luna (Brad) and was advised to try toothpicks to hold the screws. Nice guy Brad, would recommend these products as the customer support was very quick and very friendly. Waiting for glue to dry now so I can screw the jack back in.

Sounds and Looks Beautiful
For the money you really cannot beat this guitar. Its looks amazing and has a deep, warm sound to it. The electronics work great and sound great too. I am just starting out, but have been around the music industry for many years because my husband has always been in a band. (if you can't beat them join them, right?). He plays higher end guitars and was impressed with the sound quality of this guitar. So, I would recommend it to anyone whether starting out or just wanting something pretty in your collection to play.
