Perfect
Very durable easy to use. It has made my life easier when marketing animals. I was surprised at how it was able to keep up with the speed of the animal.

Like a virtual cameraman
The media could not be loaded. I've been taking a lot of online dance classes during the COVID shutdown and posting videos to my Instagram stories. The problem was I would have to film over and over because more frequently than not I would move out of frame. I got the Pivo Pod Silver in hopes it would do as advertised, follow me as I moved around and keep me in frame. I chose the Silver because it can move at a higher speed than the regular Pod, and I thought I would need that for my turns and movements across the floor. The Pivo Pod SIlver was really easy to set up - just download the app and connect to your phone via bluetooth and you're ready to go. It has four tracking speeds: Slow, Normal, Fast and Frenzy. After playing around a bit I chose Fast and filmed a quick dance video, exported to my iPhone photo gallery, and uploaded to my Instagram stories easily. I got a ton of comments from people about how cool the camerawork was in my video. You can also use Pivo Silver to track you during a video call. For that there's a separate app to download called Pivo Meet. Pivo Meet gives you a link to send to people to join the call. They do not have to have the Pivo Meet app. Once they join it works just like a regular Facetime or other video call, except you can now move around the room freely and Pivo will follow you as you talk. It worked great with a single caller, but crashed when I tried with multiple callers. In any case that's not the primary reason I got the Pivo so I'm not too worried about it.In all I'm super happy with the Pivo Pod Silver. So far it does exactly what I got it for, which is tracking me when I shoot a dance video and keeping me in frame. It really is like having a virtual cameraman. I haven't tried it for my art time lapse videos where I frequently have to deal with moving across the page with my paint brush, so I'm hoping it will be able to help me with that. There are a ton of other fun features that I haven't tried yet, such as Multi-stream, Magic Edge and Many Me. I may try those further on down the line. It's a great little product that I think I'll be using a lot.

Perfect to get videos of yourself
I found it a bit fussy to setup, but there are plenty of tutorials of which settings to use etc. (look on Facebook for a user group, and links from there). And then some guess work on what works best for your unique situation (color of horse, arena background colors, location of where to set it up, etc.).However, all that aside, it does great at what it is supposed to do. It uses your cell phone camera to track and record a video of the horse well. So great to see videos of yourself riding, very helpful to see what your body looks like (versus "feel") and how the horse is responding. Overall, super valuable to have, especially when you don't have a coach. There are limits though - it needs to be seeing the side of the horse, so if you are riding towards/away from it doesn't always follow & zoom in/out correctly. I don't ride with other horses, so I don't have the problem with it tracking a different horse in the arena (but that is an issue if you ride with multiple people in the arena), but it still did lose me occasionally.Overall, super pleased with it. As I said, very useful to see how my position is, and able to "correct" it to be more proper. A very useful tool.

Your Own Personal Equine Videographer
The media could not be loaded. I ordered the Pivo Pod Silver starter pack with the cellphone stand and the 63” tripod and it came within a week of placing the order! I ordered it to be able to record videos of my horseback riding for the times where I’m riding without my instructor so I can evaluate my posture/positioning on the horse to see what I’m doing well and what I need to improve on.The first time I brought it with me for my ride, the set up was so easy! Just download the free app, sign up, and connect your phone to the Pivo pod via Bluetooth, and BAM! It’s ready to use! The remote that the Pivo pod comes with makes it so easy to start and stop recording video while I walked my horse on a 20 meter circle around the camera/tripod. The tripod was also easy to unfold and adjust to the correct height for recording my horse.I love the horse video camera setting! Keep in mind, I was the only rider in the arena while using my Pivo pod, so I had little to no problem with the camera following the horse and I around the ring. Over the 45-60 mins I was riding, the Pivo pod only lost the horse from the frame maybe 2-3 times. I recorded probably about 90% of my ride. It followed us around the ring so smoothly, the picture was crystal clear, the camera was completely focused on the horse and rider, and the auto zoom setting worked so well as we moved around the ring.I did my research ahead of time, reading reviews, watching other horseback riders demonstrate using the product, and I was unsure for quite a few months about whether or not it was really worth purchasing. However, after just one use, I can confidently say I have NO regrets purchasing the Pivo Pod Silver. I love my Pivo pod so much and I can’t wait to continue using it to record my horseback riding!
