On the pixel 2 xl: can this be re-positioned if need be, or is that not possible once adhered? example if dust is underneath.

If you just put it on gently lift it up and slide a piece of scotchtape sticky side toward dust and pull it back than press screen protector back.

Has anyone successfully requested a replacement?

You have to register your product and then submit a warranty claim. They shipped my replacement two days later. Super easy and with no problems.

Not trying to be campy, but it says in the description. The screen protector is just sliiiightly smaller then the screen itself, making it compatible with almost any case.

Can the adhesive damage the phone in any way? Example can it can get in crevices or cannot be removed?

The adhesive doesn't stick well enough to the phone to cause any damage. My phone fell a couple of feet, and the cover flew off and cracked in several places.
