Q: Are there any plastic parts to this French press?

Uggh! I am trying so hard to find a French press that is NOT made in China and DOES NOT have any plastic parts. Extremely frustrating that it doesn't seem to exist.

Q: is the cover/ lid metal ?

Q: I'm concerned about plastic. Is there any plastic on/in this product and does it come into contact with the water/coffee at all?

The Bodun Chambord models all have metal parts except for the little ball on top of the stem and the cover. The carafe is always glass. I had a problem a few years back with a Bodun model that had a plastic piece connecting the filter to the stem; it broke after a few months use so I also was concerned about plastic parts. I would also avoid metal carafes just because the coffee doesn't taste good to me when brewed in a metal container.
