is this good for kids hands? or too difficult for small hands? looking for something for 7 year old. thanks.

It should be fine for kids hands, it has amply spaced frets but not too wide. The big plus is its durability. It has a nice tone also. I've bought it's wooden counterpart for each of my four grandchildren (ages 2 to 8) that have weathered well (the oldest uke is now 6) they came out with the plastic model after I bought the wooden ones. Hope this helps. Most music stores that carry Kala Ukuleles have them in stock if you want to see one first hand.

the slate blue top looks like mint green in all pictures. What color is it really?

the one I purchased was sea foam green but I saw the slate blue and it does look more like pastel green than any blue I'm familiar with
