Accurate and Affordable
This works rather well, and out of the box it was accurate. I was able to test the unit on a shaft with a known output speed.The unit updates quickly. The only downside is that you need to constantly depress the test button to get a reading and depending on what you are doing you need to read the unit upside down.This meter comes with reflective stickers that you will place on the shaft or item that you are testing. You can order more of the reflective material, or find it in some hardware stores, You use a bout a .5 inch square of material. What also works is a silver paint marker and I imagine that liquid correction fluid could work as well as a substitute. The meter counts the reflections from the stickers. If what you are testing is already reflective you will need to black most of it out with a marker or black tape to enable the meter to work properly.For its price it is a good little unit.

Decent Value/Easy to use
Arrived quickly and seems to work fine. Tested it against known motor spindle RPM based on calculations. Read low by about 1.5%. This is well within expected measurement uncertainty.

Fast !
This replaced the first one. It didn’t work. I returned it. The replacement arrived yesterday. Works perfect. Took less than 32 hours from the I returned the first one. Great job Amazon!!!!

It works OK
The instructions fail to mention that you really have to aim exactly perpendicular to the surface (aim at the center of rotation) in order to get a reading. Seems to need to be within about 10 cm from target initially to get a stable reading, can then be backed away a little further but the 20 cm claimed seems a bit of an exageration. Never-the-less that being said when used as I describe, it gives stable and pretty accurate readings (my 3600 rpm grinder measured 3585 rpm, thats within 0.4% ) Pretty good for the price. I don't know about any of the other ones.

Worked once and died
Used this exactly twice. New battery and the first use it seemed to work well and accurately. Minutes later, and just then second time of use, it won’t turn on at all. This is just junk.
