Q: Where do you take the measurement for children???? The large part that your toe touches? Or in the center of the box with little tiny plastic pointer

I am having the same question with this device. I am trying to measure my 10 month old son's feet without having to take him into potential COVID environments. Is the size where the toe touches or the number inside of the square box? I don't recall their being any instructions to that effect in the box either.

Q: If the tip of the toe touches size 5, do i buy size 5 or do i have to add space so the toe can move in the shoe? Or is this accounted for?

Q: The instructions indicate that people should wear socks, sitting to use the product. However, the photos show kids barefoot and standing. What is it?

The picture clearly shows how this foot measure tool looked like. I would have my kids to wear shoes to measure their shoe size because it is more accurate than barefoot. Then I would take this foot measure tool to a shoe store and buy my kids shoes. It works pretty well.
