I gave this to my parents for Mother’s/Father’s day present and as a replacement to the mugs they’d been using thus far. They were absolutely thrilled! They use nothing else now, and my mom uses the lid for the mug like ALL the time, next to the message on the mugs I think the lids were her favorite feature of the mugs! They say it’s the perfect size and amount, and that it holds the heat of the coffee very well and for a long time. I’d think it’s because of its bell like shape. I also know from personal experience that it does well with heating up water and milk in the microwave for tea and hot chocolate as I’ve used one or the other of these mugs to do just that when in need of a mug at night too! So whatever you’re using it for I think it will work out just fine!The only drawback about this is that it is rather breakable. Less than a week after having the set, the White Lid split in two after it flipped off the side of our sink to land into the sink. It’s not a particularly deep sink either and yet the lid still broke in half. We were able to glue it back together so that it was functional again, but they have to be extremely careful with it now. So be aware of this when buying. Also be aware of the fact that the spoons are small and easy to lose if you’re not good at keeping track of them. My parents already lost one of them. The other is constantly being lost then refound a little while later.

It arrived today, broken. I contacted the seller and sent out a replacement right away. I received it within a few days! The mugs are very nice and the gift box is sturdy and beautiful. Great gift.
