We are typically Dunkin drinkers and we like to grind our beans. We are perfectly happy with that but we tried Douwe’s at a restaurant years ago and both agree it’s some of the best coffee we’ve ever had. Though it’s not as inexpensive as Dunkin, it is certainly more reasonable than many luxury/gourmet coffees but I’d match it up against any of them.It tastes like a darker breakfast blend. While it has a rich flavor, there is no bitterness while sipping and no bitter aftertaste.I highly recommend it.

I love the aroma of this coffee. The taste is rich and smooth. This is the only coffee I buy for myself and it's worth the price. I loved the taste the first time I was served it away from home and searched the web to find it and was thrilled to find I could order it through Amazon and never let myself run out of it.

Very good coffee just to privacy

Douwe Egbert's coffee has been a favorite of mine for many years, once I discovered it's wonderful, full bodied, never bitter and delightful aroma at the Caesar's properties in Las Vegas. A waitress explained it to me like this. All she needed to do when someone ordered a cup of coffee, she went to the coffee station and pushed a button and out comes a cup of coffee, freshly brewed, by way of the special machine, equipped with a box of coffee syrup and a micro chip inside the machine measures how much syrup and how much water it takes to make the perfect cup of coffee every time. Therefore no coffee is wasted, or left to get old and burned. Unfortunately, this coffee doesn't live up to those praises, funny that these freshly ground beans can't deliver the taste of a syrup!

I tried this coffee in Europe at a five star hotel! Now it's the only coffee I truly enjoy. No bitterness, smooth, great fragrance.

We use this every morning and evening. I wish they had the four-pack, 17 oz, whole bean to order. I like getting plenty for family and friends. The best coffee we have ever enjoyed. Please get the four-packs back!

Have been ordering this coffee for months now. This coffee is never bitter. I first had it in a German restaurant in Milwaukee last year. If you are someone who does not like the stronger more bitter coffee from Starbuck’s, you will love this coffee. I used to think Sendik’s Tudy’s breakfast coffee was the best and had to drive 25 min to get there. The really strange thing is that if you leave a cup out to get cold and pop it in the microwave for a short time, it comes out tasting a bit bolder with almost a hint of chocolate but never bitter. It can be pricey but I only drink one cup a day and feel it is worth every penny.
