SALT Supply Practice Rounds for The Self Defense Gun

This product is a safe version of the pepper ball rounds Salt offers, and is supposed to accurately represent the dispersion pattern of the pepper ball 'live' rounds. I bought some and am very glad I did. Being familiar with how the pepper ball rounds will explode, and the size of the 'cloud' they'll produce on impact is useful information to have. Upon impact, the balls produce roughly a five foot diameter cloud of very fine powder. I can attest to the fact that the 'cloud' hangs for roughly 15-25 seconds. It is one thing to describe it and quite another to witness. I can't recommend this product enough. I've included a photo to attempt to show the dispersion pattern left after impact. If you look carefully, you'll see the 'spread' of the baby powder goes well above the impact point; and spreads equally in all directions. I hope it is useful.

Love the gun, love the rounds. But am a new shooter and went through the practice rounds in 60 seconds. There's no way I can afford another practice round at this cost. Does anyone know if the cheap rubber balls cause woodland animals to choke? That might be a far better option if it doesn't harm the wildlife.
