Q: Is it edible for the dog, or does it have to be rinsed out??

It's totally edible. My dog eats it and never had an issue. I believe it's made to be consumed. But I only put a pea sized amount on her brush.

Q: How often is brushing recommended?

Daily , start as soon as you get a puppy. I didn't and what a mistake!

Good taste but be aware toothpaste is brown!

This doggy toothbrush was very good we are pleased with it but the dog wasn't very happy about having it done. Also our dog is white and the toothpaste is brown. I will leave it to your imagination what the aftermath was like LOL. So second time was a bit easier and we just had to wash his face. He does love the taste now and does not mind having his teeth cleaned.

I am absolutely disgusted with this product as it contains baking soda which is not good for dogs. One of my dogs was not well after I used it on her once. She was having bad bladder problems and kept urinating in excess and needed very frequent toilet visits and was like this for a couple of days. Would have given this no stars if possible. Should be removed from sale

Disgusting black foul smelling but cleans

I disliked the black tarlike toothpaste that gets over ur hands, dogs mouth fur and smells like wooden lead pencils. But it does clean my yorkies teeth. Just major clean up afterwards.Tried a little but smelt too bad. My fault I was expecting a mint toothpaste. Got a shock
