Emulsifies and Washes Off Beautifully
I use this as the first step in my cleansing process, and it feels lovely, kind of like a not-super-heavy cleansing oil. It's legitimatley fragrance free; I don't pick up on any scent at all, like not even a vaguely plastic one. But I think my favorite part about it is how it rinses off. To start, I work it onto my dry facial skin to loosen and begin removing my sunscreen and makeup. Once I've done that, I add water, and it emulsifies and thins into this milky liquid that rinses off easily, so my skin is left feeling both clean and hydrated. What really surprised me is that for being such a lovely, balmy texture, it's doesn't leave me at all greasy when I rinse it off, which is the unfortunate effect I get from a lot of cleansing oils if I don't follow them with a water-based cleanser. In a pinch, or to remove just sunscreen and daily grime, I'd use this as a single-step cleanser. Solid product. My one wish is that it had a hinged flip-top cap rather than a twist-off cap, but even so, I'd buy a mega tube of this stuff.

Favorite Paula’s Choice Product of All Time
This is literally a 3 in 1 product. It’s silky smooth and removes makeup while cleansing your face and leaving it feeling hydrated rather than dry. It doesn’t make you feel greasy either. It’s amazing! Best cleansing product there is!! Works so well and there’s virtually no scent but what you can smell, I like! It’s amazing all around!

Great product!
I have not used a Paula’s Choice product previously - so this is not a brand review - it’s only a product review. I wanted to try this product out and purchased it on Prime Day because honestly it would have been less expensive if I didn’t like it. I should state that I have extremely dry skin so I am reporting how that worked for me. I have previously tried other cleansing balms and micellar waters and been disappointed because I never felt as though they took off the make up. I put a little more than a pea size amount on my finger and began massaging my face and I could see that my makeup was coming off. I use a primer with my waterproof mascara and it melted the products I use off my face. It’s also important to note that I use sunscreen on my face and wear full coverage make up. A little goes a long way with this product. You don’t need a lot. I felt that my skin was prepped for cleaning my face with my face wash after. Using this product as a step one, along with my other product, really cleansed my face. As far as residue left on ny face from the balm, I didn’t notice anything because I thoroughly patted ny face dry and then washed it with another product (First Aide Beauty Pure Skin Face Cleanser). Between the two, ny face was clean, glowing, and hydrated. I recommend this Paula’s Choice product. I feel like for the cost and the results, this is a great product that you can use everyday and will only need to replenish one other time in a year. Hope this review helps! Cheers for taking care of your skin. ❤️

Nice
I like this, best soap at removing makeup. Isn’t drying, but does leave my face a little red after washing

Something changed
I've been using this for a few years and absolutely love it.. its gentle and effective and has never broken me out or caused irritation. It had a very slight, natural coconut scent. With this latest tube, I noticed my skin being red and irritated and have had a few breakouts over a week. I've made no itger chages in my routine. Also the smell is more petroleum like, or maybe it's gone bad.. no coconut smell and the texture is different. It doesn't seem to clean as well. Idk if I got a bad batch or the formula has changed but I don't think I can trust it again and will be looking for a replacement. Very disappointed.

Magic
I’m normally addicted to foam wash so this was a big change for me and I absolutely love it. I went on a trip and I bought this stuff because it specifically said it can melt away sunscreen and makeup. Straight facts. Even if I had 3 layers of sunscreen on and makeup - this stuff just truly melted it away. Even with one wash nothing gets left behind and my skin feels amazing afterwards. Paula products are always pricey but most are worth it - including this one. Perfect for if you wore heavy makeup or sunscreen and need a thorough wash, or for winter as it doesn’t dry out your skin. This has been officially added to my skincare lineup.

This balm is not good for folks prone to acne...
I have new acne cysts every time I use this product. I love Paula's Choice, but I definitely cannot use this product for large pore, acne-prone skin.
