Most comfy sandal ever — narrow or wide feet. Adjustable, comfortable, great for any activity.
Update (Sept 2020): Almost a year later and these sandals still rock! They have worn unbelievably well despite wearing them a lot, in a variety of situations and conditions! I have purchased as gifts for both of my sisters (who have very different feet) and they both love them!!!Original review (Sept 2019): I am generally not a sport sandal girl, but needed something for a hiking trip near the beach. These sandals rocked. I have really narrow feet, and always have a hard time with sandals because my feet slide around and the straps are never tight enough. The best part about Chacos is the fact that you can tighten or loosen them to any foot size. And you can make adjustments throughout the day as needed, which is awesome if your feet swell after walking or in the heat. I wear them on planes because my feet swell and contract and therefore I never have any discomfort anymore! The Cloud X2 version has a softer foot bed and it made wearing them a dream (my daughter likes the regular footbed which is more rigid, like a Croc, but those were not comfortable for me at all, which is why I had sworn off Chacos from the get go). I’m so glad I tried them again once they came out with the Cloud version. They do have a lot of arch support so if you have flat feet it might irritate you a bit. It took me about an hour to get used to the structured support the footbed offered, but ever since they have been unbelievably comfortable. I want to wear them all the time and I have NEVER felt that way about a sport sandal. I get a ton of compliments on them (I think the double strap and color combo is particularly cute), and I can do any activity in them for hours — standing, walking, hiking, shopping, biking. My legs never feel fatigue anymore. In fact I keep them on when I walk around the house (and I am usually a kick off the shoes kind of person.)I’ve worn them for two months (a lot) and no sign of breaking down or weird wear and tear.

Expensive but worth it!
I specifically bought these for a tropical vacation I recently went on. They were my go to walking shoes. They are stylish and comfortable. My one tip is to make sure the big toe strap is not too tight.

Really happy with fit
This is my first pair of chaco's. I really liked how adjustable the straps were. My two issues were that the black straps around ankles would flap around on the ground and needed to be tucked under my ankle (which was not a design feature) to keep them from being dragged on the ground or stepped on. I wore these a lot in the water. Sand and rocks would easily get stuck under my feet in between the shoe- do I think this is the shoes fault, no... but definitely annoying and uncomfortable and a pain to get rocks and sand out of the shoe. That being said, I will continue to use these shoes in similar situations, because I think that's just gonna happen, I could honestly loosen them a little cause that might make it easier to get rocks out of shoe without stopping to get them out.The sole of the shoe was very supportive and comfortable and seems very durable.Overall really liked the shoe and will continue to use for a long time because I think they will last a while. I did not take them on a hike, but would because I think they would be a great hiking shoe as well.

A great first pair of Chacos!
These were my first pair of Chacos, and I admit there was a learning curve to learn all there was to know about the different soles, straps, replacement program, etc. etc. After figuring out which type of sole and size fit me best (lots of questions to friends and visits to local outdoor stores), I found the best sole/strap/color combination for me online. I love this colour combination.... the teal and salmon are interesting colours but neutral enough that I can wear them with most casual outfits. It took a week or two to get used to the straps, adjust them to the right tightness, and break in the footbeds. If there is anyone else getting Chacos for the first time, know that it can be uncomfortable the first week or so until the footbeds conform to your feet and you find the right strap tension. As one outdoor store staff warned, I developed some serious callouses where my feet rub against the arched part of the insole (I have low arches), but they don't hurt and the fit has improved the more I've broken them in. Since breaking them in, they have been my go-to shoes! I love that they are easy to slip on (no hands!), and that the straps and thick soles give me confidence that I can walk on most surfaces safely. I have worn them to do lots of walking in urban settings, wet pavement, through puddles and streams, along unpaved dirt and gravel paths, and even some light hiking. As a scientist who can sometimes find herself in outdoor/wet settings with little warning, I love that these shoes give me the flexibility to walk where I need to safely. Love these!

AMAZING!
These are so wonderful! I have some nerve damage in my right ankle and foot, which makes it really hard to wear sandals. The high arch of these and the adjustable straps are so amazing! Plus they are pretty cute for what they are. My only complaint is the straps are a little long and drag on the ground unless you tuck them in. I can deal with that though. They are super comfy and didn't need any breaking in. I seriously couldn't be happier! I typically wear a 9.5 and have narrow feet, the 9 was perfect for me.

OKAY BUT
Too stiff and rubbed blisters on my ankle. I do like the fitting and the orientation of the straps that they help with a bunion issue on my left foot. Still trying to wear them to hopefully break them in to my feet. Hard to make myself wear them when they cause pain though. :-(

Fit well
These sandals are nice looking. They are adjustable to a small degree, but it is enough for them to be very comfortable. They have good arch support, water resistant and washing them in the washing machine didn't do any damage to them.
