Top Notch Monitor Arm / Best on the market
This is undoubtedly one of the best monitor arms on the market. While it is on the pricier side, its exceptional build quality and heavy-duty design make it worth every penny. If you own a 49-inch monitor, I highly recommend choosing an Ergotron monitor arm over any other brand. I initially purchased a cheaper alternative but ended up returning it immediately. This is a classic case of "you get what you pay for," and the Ergotron arm is definitely worth the investment.**Pros:**- **Rock-solid design:** The arm's robust construction ensures your high-end monitor is securely supported.- **Ease of movement:** Adjusting and repositioning a 49-inch monitor is effortless, thanks to the arm's smooth operation.- **Easy installation:** The installation process is straightforward, but make sure you have all the necessary tools, especially a wrench for the monitor arm head. For a 49-inch monitor, having a second person to assist is helpful.- **Durability:** The arm shows no signs of wear or binding, even after extended use. Its overbuilt design provides confidence that your expensive monitor is safe.**Cons:**- **Cable management:** The arm's cable management system could use some improvement. However, this is a minor issue since you rarely need to access the back unless you're setting up an elaborate gaming rig.**Comparison and Recommendations:**- **Superior to other brands:** After reviewing various reports, the Ergotron stands out in terms of adjustability and stability, making it the top choice in its class.- **Versatile use:** I would exclusively recommend this arm for other types of monitors and specific use cases, such as dual-monitor setups or professional workstations. Despite being the most expensive option, it is well worth the investment due to its longevity and superior build quality.

Samsung neo 57 inch G9, 2024
I purchased the ergotron hx vhd, it came out to 485.14. I have the samsung neo 57 inch G9, 2024 version. I have the flexispot L shaped desk pro. This is the only monitor desk mount that works. No other monitor mount worked for me. The only mount I didnt try was the Secretlab Magnust Monitor Mount (Heavy Duty Edition) . The ultra arm brand and those similar cheaper brands did not work at all. My monitor would tilt downward. The mount is stable, holds the screen straight. I wish it would extend out a little more but I'm sure it has to be like this because of the weight distribution. If you have the same monitor as me then dont waste your time on other mounts.

Best Mount(s) I've ever used!
I've owned several cheaper mounts over the last 15 years. All of them have done the job but build quality was always an issue. I bit the bullet and invested the money in two of these arms for my ultra wide monitor set up. You definitely get what you pay for with Ergotron. The build quality is noticeable right out of the box. They also support both of my monitors with no sagging or flexing. I've had both for 2 year and they are still going strong. I will never cheap out on monitor mounts ever again.

Updated: It holds up.
The media could not be loaded. UPDATED REVIEW:I purchased the Ergotron HX 6 months ago and discovered that the tilter lacked the lift strength to hold up the monitor. I opened a ticket with their support team, and a few months later they worked with me on getting a replacement tilter. It works great! The new tilter is plenty strong for my particularly heavy monitor. They also fixed an issue with the instructions, where the instructions didn't tell you which way to tighten a particular screw to increase/decrease tilter strength. So, kudos to them.I've been very impressed by the level of the support from Ergotron here. They constantly kept in touch with me about my issue. I am definitely a Ergotron fan at this point.I will say that my original review's criticism of the mounting process is STILL TRUE. That is one area Ergotron should iterate on.Anyway, if you're looking for a great heavy duty monitor arm, you've found it!I'll keep the old review here for posterity.OLD REVIEW:Titled: "It doesn't hold up"The HX lacks the tilt lift strength to hold up up my monitor, an Odyssey G9, which is 14 Kg and well within specifications. It is essentially stuck in a 5 degree downward angle, unless I prop it up.Other issues:- The instructions don't say which way to turn the included T-wrench to increase or decrease the tilt lift strength! Incredible. (This is noted on all the other adjustments in the instructions, besides this one.) You'll either have to look up external resources to find out, or just experiment (possibly in vain, like me!)- This was the most painful mounting of my life. Like other mount systems, you install an adapter on the back of your monitor, and then you mount your adapter-plus-monitor onto the stand. Usually the port to mount the adapter has an ergonomic shape which makes mounting a breeze. But not this one. The target port on the stand is very small and hard to mount onto. Plus you'll either need to mount the monitor holding it at a 70 degree angle, or you'll have to press down on the spring mechanism to hold it down while mounting it. This requires a lot of hands, and difficult to do solo, especially while holding a 14kg monitor. It took me two hours to assemble and mount my monitor, and then it doesn't even hold up the monitor.I opened up a chat with support, which to their credit they answered up right away. However, they weren't able to commit right there to sending me a new replacement adapter (it's labeled "A1" in the instructions). They said they'll talk to their tech team and mail me back. If they send me a nice replacement I may adjust my review. Otherwise I'll just send the whole thing back to amazon and try again with a different mount.
