Accessories not NECESSARY, but functional and nice enough
Great quality headphones. The case is flimsy but functional. I wouldn’t buy the case and accessories separately, but it’s a good deal for the headphones and the accessories. The headphones have ear tips, so the tips in the add ons are useless to me personally, but my husband stole the memory foam ones for himself and likes them for noise cancelling purposes.

Love them
Works beautifully. They fit in my ears very good with the foam tips. The battery last a good while, after using for a year or so they still work very good. Easy to connect and operate, and very good audio for the price.

NOT better than the xm4 or xm3
In a previous life I designed studio-grade headphones, specifically the driver interfaces to achieve a specific frequency response output… I am ALOT older now and the frequency range of my hearing has certainly declined over the years (some of which is likely from Loud Music hearing damage at the upper end of the spectrum).I own both the XM4 and XM3 EarBuds… and this is likely the cause of my disappointment. For Audio Quality, the XM3’s STILL sound the best AT ANY VOLUME!! The XM4’s seem to only “loose steam”… at high volumes where the Bass frequencies become compressed as volume increases. The XM3 DOES NOT compress the bass frequencies until the absolute limit…The XM5 at starts compressing nowhere near what I call Loud, almost as if the ports are blocked or closed or something is creating standing waves…I needed these for my daily conference calls that last several hours multiple times a day, as the XM3’s for several hour use are simply too much weight only being supported by the ear canal. The XM4’s are a bit lighter and the XM5’s feel almost weightless in comparison. So, for ONLY that purpose, the XM5’s are definitely lightweight and do not hurt my ear canals after hours and hours of calls. However, the claim is that they outperform their predecessors, and they simply DO NOT!!So much so that to listen to music, I use my XM3’s and find it completely ridiculous that SONY has made their top earbud product a poor replacement of a predecessor from 8years ago.So, other than weight, I have no other reason to own these. It makes no sense that for $248 I have to deal with a product inferior to its predecessors!!

I’m amazed. I’m an artist & sound quality is IT
So I’m very impressed with this product! I had a couple concerns, the first being that my ears are not a good fit for Apple AirPods and I’m also not a fan of their sound quality whatsoever, so I didn’t see why I would spend a few hundred dollars on their product. However, there weren’t too many reviews comparing alternatives at the time so I took a leap with this one and I am far from disappointed!Fit: The inside of my ear is fairly small and the multiple size buds that come with this are great for those with particular ears lol. The small buds help fit perfectly. The entire device is able to rest in my ear even when I’m working out. I occasionally have to adjust them if I’m very active but I did not think they would stay in and they definitely do.Sound: The sound quality is superb. I am a DJ and a music connoisseur so sound quality is very important to me. You can also adjust the settings to hear sound on one ear, the same sound on both ears, or for a surroundsound experience which is awesome.Noise cancelling: I promise I can’t hear nobody I don’t want to hear when I have noise canceling turned on. There’s also different settings to automatically adjust noise canceling versus regular ambient that turns on according to if you’re walking, if you’re at home or the workplace, or if it can sense people talking to you.Cons: I wish the device was just slightly smaller so people couldn’t see that I had these in my ears while I work lol. But that’s not really a major concern at all. The case gets dirty very easily so I suggest you buying a case to go on the outside of it to protect it. It is not a sleek plastic material and will collect marks if you keep it in your purse. I also can’t quite figure out if there is Geo tracking enabled on the advice in the same way that Apple AirPods have the setting, and seeing that these do cost a couple hundred dollars it would be nice to use a Find My headphone setting. However, it is very possible that I just need to play around with the App a little bit to figure out how this setting works.Overall: Very pleased. Definitely better than AirPods its quality matters to you and not just the name

They're not 300 dollars good
These are a disappointment. I would have returned but didn't buy from Amazon vendor and would be hit with 50% restocking fee.Fit: the memory foam tips come in two sizes small and large. Using the small the buds frequently fall out while I'm doing moderate activity. Once bent down to grab my pen at my desk and a bud fell out. The large are too large and muffle sound and feel tight in my ears.Sound: man after reading the reviews I had high hopes for these. However they sound very quiet almost whisper quiet. So who really knows if the quality is good due to great drivers or just low distortion caused by setting the volume lower.Bass and tone: I feel like the eq is backwards. Zero bass to these more tin sounding but it's so quiet I can't tell anyway.Noise canceling: also not great. They do about as well as a pair of foam ear plugs. Steps banging etc will all come through.Bluetooth pairing also funky. Loses either channel and you have to forget and repair the headphones.Overall I feel like sony paid for the glowing reviews because these are definitely not what I expected from 300 dollar headphones. Try the Bose I guess.Update in 20 months they're now dead. Right earbuds have the notorious battery drain and no longer keep a charge.
